After working all day yesterday under an oppressive deadline, I escaped to walk on the bike path. My head was so full of work and personal stuff that I didn't listen to my iPod. I just walked really fast and listened to the birds, the rushing water through the culverts, and the wind in the trees. I took in the sights and slowed the pace to leisurely for the walk back. Just beautiful.  A good decompression exercise.

Nice!

I don't know if hiking is as good exercise as the gym... I tried to push it... without hurting myself or risking falling.

It's amazing how there were zero birds up in the hills... they're all around the lowlands I guess.

I took Middy for a walk yesterday, down to the town park, and when we passed behind the elementary school I saw this small pile of white "stuff' next to the curb. It was in upper 60s and all the snow, everywhere is gone. I went over, and it was snow! I couldn't believe it.

What's weird is sleeveless in snow!

Do the exercise that you enjoy the most. It must be much more fun to go snowshoeing than going to the gym.

Ugh, I am so bored with the gym.

Dear tracks. Another thing I love about winter.
How do they get through those little spaces??
