Well, dangit. I just found out that all the "Thank You" notes I've been sending to all of you awesome people who have been donating to Paula's GoFundMe page have evidently been disappearing into the ether and not reaching any of you. I'm so sorry for that, everyone who has taken the time and effort to contribute deserves acknowledgement and hasn't been getting it! I do wish I'd gotten the VIP tix (was supposed to have, but snafu) to the concert I went to with kaup & betterdaze back in 08... most of the bands who weren't playing could be seen at some time or other wandering thru. Most of Wilco were in there all day. I think it was because they didn't sell very many of the VIP passes so maybe they just decided to hang out there. In other news, they were close, but off to the side of the stage and relatively crappy seats compared to where I was: front and center. You can see the back end of the tented VIP area in the left of this shot, they extended out to the front of the speaker cabinets and above so they were off to the side and looking down on the band. Probably crappy sound too. But with the VIP tix you might be able to come and go from the General Admission area (that was the case here):

But considering there won't be an opening band, they might not be hanging out after all. It's a gamble, I guess, but I say go for it. Especially if you can get there for the soundcheck or at least very early and just hang around...
