Well, dangit. I just found out that all the "Thank You" notes I've been sending to all of you awesome people who have been donating to Paula's GoFundMe page have evidently been disappearing into the ether and not reaching any of you. But considering there won't be an opening band, they might not be hanging out after all. It's a gamble, I guess, but I say go for it. Especially if you can get there for the soundcheck or at least very early and just hang around...

ETA: These shows have different VIP tiers; go check 'em out. When we attend Forecastle, we go VIP in order to have access to clean bathrooms and a cool, shady place to hang out. Plus, we get better standing room for the shows with easy access to the VIP section (where the aforementioned bathrooms and air conditioning are). YMMV, and I don't know the venue in Chicago, so can't pretend to know what the setup will be like.
