Was a big fan of Twin Peaks, so this one sounds interesting.

The original Danish version has been a huge success here - I missed it but am going to get the box set. I read an interview today that said that they very much doubted that US TV stations would ever show it in Danish with subtitles.

Watched a couple new shows of the DVR last night

"Lone Star" - this may be the "sleeper" this season.  Texas con man with two families wants to go straight.  Premise sounds simple but they did a good job with the first episode, I will continue to watch.  Lead actor looks like a young George Clooney.

"Detroit 1-8-7" - typical police drama but as in all these it is the cast that makes or breaks these shows.  With Michael Imperioli (one of my favs) and James McDaniel (from NYPD Blue) they have the base of a good cast.  First episode was pretty decent.  Another one I will continue to watch.

I liked Raising Hope. but I fear it will run thin after a season, like My Name is Earl did.

I loved and miss My Name is Earl.  And they didn't even end it, just canceled it at the end of last season.

Very pleasantly surprised with Raising Hope.  Didn't think the "low working class" humor would work but pretty funny.

Not so pleased with Running Wilde.  If it doesn't get better next week - off my list.

I watched Raising Hope.  I wasn't planning on it but it was on after Glee and I didn't have anything else to do.  It was funny.  Stereotypical but probably not any more so than a lot of other stuff out there.

We often wait till they come out on DVD and watch them in big chunks of several epsiodes at a time. I find the really good series have multiple episode story arcs and are written and directed more like films anyway, so watching two or three eps in a row really is more enjoyable,

I wasn't going to watch M&M but it was on.  I also thought it was better than expected.  I'm not a fan of the actor playing Mike but he does an ok job.  His young black partner is the funniest person on the show and kept reminding me of Nipsy Russell.

I have H5-0 on the DVR, I won't rush to watch it.

The only reason I watched M&M was that it was a Chuck Lorre show, and I'm a fan. Fat jokes don't work as good for me as sex jokes, so if he plans on stringing this show along on that like he does 2-1/2 Men... uh uh.

The best part about 5-0 was that fabulous reconstruction of the original opening, reshooting everything exactly the same. It just missed the "Kam Fong as Chin Ho." But the show lost my interest quickly.

The Event was so incredibly horrible that it floors me that so many name actors were sucked into it.

I'm finishing season 5 of the Wire and will be sick when I'm done. It is indeed one of the best things from TV.
Then I move on to The Shield and Burn Notice.

Wake me when this season of Must Avoid TV is over.

Didn't watch or record The Event.  So just how bad is it?  Will it last more than a month?
