Spent a night with Mormon missionaries when hitchhiking one time.  They told clean jokes, made us pancakes in the morning, gave us a copy of the Book of Mormon, and drove us back to the highway. Nice people.

Mccain was honorable in his military service, but was perhaps the worst Senator certainly in my memory.   If I could I would have voted for Obama 30 times in that election.  I used to always joke that if you are uncertain about an issue just find out what Mccain and his minion Lyndsey Graham's position is and go the complete opposite way.   Thank God for our country that Obama was elected  because the Republicans threw out possibly the worst two candidates they could have.

What it Mitt Romney hiding?  Why does he refuse to show his taxes, birth certificate, or any other documents that prove that he's not an imposter, alien or otherwise unsuitable for being President?

Turnabout is fair play, and Romney's hypocrisy on these issues is as serious as a heart attack.  If Romney can't or won't produce proof, he should either step down, or the GOP should refuse to nominate him.  We Americans have a right to know, and this time it's for real.

Right then.

If Bain (and presumably, Romney) broke the law then the IRS has missed it for over 20 years. If these experts find evidence of that they can do more than post an article to a ridiculously partisan website—they can send various people to prison. Assuming the documents they somehow got ahold of are admissible. Or real.

Interestingly, Gawker has been accused by a former editor of—wait for it—violating tax law by claiming full-time employees were contractors. But I digress.

It is definitely a big mess. And the IRS is complicit, due to lax enforcement and shifting interpretations.

Bain sure seems to think the documents are real, they are crying bloody murder over the disclosures.

But one thing IS clear: whoever handles the Romney's money is using every possible trick, right up to and possibly over the legal line. Claiming not to own stock that you actually do own? Shifting straight income into another pocket so you can pay lower taxes on it? Those are, uh, well, that is, what's the word? Oh yeah: LYING. And when you put together 'lying' and 'taxes', the result is tax fraud.

I am sure everyone who lives in the rarefied atmosphere of obscene wealth uses every one of those tricks. More accurately they pay people lots of money to use those tricks. The rest of us schlubs do not have the ability to take advantage of those scams. It's a matter of fairness. But Mittens doesn't understand fairness: he (and his ilk) play by a different set of rules.

With Romney, the GOP cabal will go on another massive spending spree, leaving us with nothing to show for it but another several trillion dollars in debt and no way to pay for it. (They can say they bought black helicopters, but until I see 'em, they don't exist.)  We might also get another war or two.  If Russia isn't bluffing, it'll be World War III and we'll lose this time.

With Obama and a Congress that works, we'll have to do some spending on credit, just like FDR, Reagan and Clinton did successfully.  What we'll get back is a badly needed update of our national infrastructure that everybody can see, and even better, that we can really use right now.

The choice is between certain bankruptcy and the near-certainty of a return to economic sustainability.  Easy peasy.
