I lived in Ghana for a year as a US Fulbright Scholar many years ago and really appreciated the old style 'high life' jazzy music that Ghana was known for coming out of the 1950s and 1960s. Music in Ghana today is dominated by 'hip life' which obviously is much more influenced by hip-hop and rap music than the traditional high life music of Ghana. It took some time to get used to but eventually I learned to appreciate the music; and am happy that more and more Ghanaian artists are finding some success and attention in the US and Europe charts. This song is certainly quite a different sound from what we generally hear at RP; but I certainly enjoy it and am happy to hear music from West Africa.

Maybe that will happen with this song as well. Keep us posted.

It’s funny how that goes. In my case, most Pink Floyd is at/near my top ten, but Led Balloon is PSD every time. I’d much rather listen to Moliy than Robert Plant any day.
