There must be something about her
That you love, don't you, dear?
Something about her
She was kinder to me
Than most girls would ever be
I'm over the moon
And I'm sad to see it end so soon
Oh, what have I done
I've never thought this way for love
Convinced that it is all because
There must be something about her
That you love, don't you, dear?
Something about her terrifies all my fears
She sits in a smile
With eyes looking through
What's the point of all this music
If I'm not here to dance with you
There must be something about her
It'd be wiser for me to run away from all I see
I can't resist what good is love if not to miss
Your hands or your eyes or the way that yours just look in mine
I'd die to live for any little part of this
There must be something about her
That you love, don't you, dear?
Something about her terrifies all my fears
She sits in a smile
With eyes looking through
What's the point of all this music

Not many compositions give the listener a sense of nostalgia and newness.
Schmaltzy and lovely.

Yeah? Nothing against you - I came here to post that the line is nonsensical. How can a fear be terrified? A person experiences the emotion of fear. Fear cannot be terrified.
Ok, yeah poetic license and all that...
I do like the feel and sound of the song but that line just irks the hell out of me.
Love the lyric "Something about her terrifies all my fears!"

Schmaltzy pablum. A really tedious leftover re-warmed, like old mashed potatoes.
Just awful. Clearly he went to Roy Orbison school and failed

This is so retro - 50s retro?
My wife really likes this song. I haven't let her see the photo of Stephen Sanchez yet, however, in case she gets any ideas of running away to meet him.
Alfalfa, The Crooner!
My first thought was Andrew Bird.
Very Roy Orbison-esque.
Every time I hear this song I do a double-take. My mind has trouble picturing a cute youngster, (who could be my grandson's age) singing with the voice of someone I picture being twice his age.
Beautiful voice. But omg I pure chicken fat

Anyone dealing with heartbreak this Valentines - Feb 2024?
Hurt - Johnny Cash
She Sells Sancuary - The Cult
The Night We Met - Lord Huron
Something About Her - Stephen Sanchez
It's OK, I didn't need my heart anyway

Yes, it's very, very Roy Orbison-like indeed! In lyrics, too! Nothing wrong with excellent, passionate singing and Romantic sentiment!

I'm tempted to agree, but we shouldn't rush to judgement. He is an obvious talent Maybe just a weak song, well sung?

Lovely. Getting a touch of modern Roy Orbison.
Wow! First to comment on a newly added RP song! Thanks Bill & Team!
