You left me sittin in the dark, cryin'
Said your love for me was dyin'
I don't believe it, I think you outta turn it up
Turn on your love light

I get a little lonely
In the middle of the night
I need your lovin'
Make it all right
I need your love girl
Or else I ain't all right

Or else I ain't all right
Bring it to me now
Bring it to me now
Bring it home darlin'
An turn it on up now
Just a little bit
A little bit
Turn it up a bit
I don't know much about Bob Seger before his late 70s-early 80s mega-stardom. But the guy 10 years before that time had a serious crossover voice for rock/R&B.
Why he went to AOR and stadium rock is not clear to me. Was he just cashing in? There are people like my brother whom you can't pay to listen to Bob today because of "Hollywood Nights" and "Against the Wind." For all the FM play he got in his big-time days, he's utterly forgotten now.
did he "go to aor/stadium" rock, or is that just what lazy rock writers (hacks) came up with?

Agree that he was overplayed. He had no control over that.
