They are popular because they are good. RP played them all the time before anyone had ever heard of them. I bought their CD before they were popular so I discovered them, basically.
Really REALLY don't get how this band has become so popular, no need for them here IMHO??

They were on "Later ..." with Jools Holland. I was all ready for some good music. Was sorely disappointed. Just annoying. And like someone else said, each song sounded the same.
All their other songs sounds the same. This one stands out for me because it's different than the rest.
Blarg. It seems too emotional for its own good. Like Hothouse Flowers meets Bright Eyes.
there are some songs from m&s which are so-so or hm-hm . this one is simply annoying. never understodd what it´s all about the hype for them :-(

Yeah. I agree.
My only consolation is the thought that surely I must annoy someone as much as this band annoys me. GOD THIS IS AWFUL.

Holy CowNUTS!! I can't get enough of these guys!! Sorry friends.... I'm hopeless. Saw them live in Tempe and will never ever see another concert the same!

Never really got Mumfords - seems very samey to me. Perhaps in missing something.

Great song on a fantastic album. Hey, can't wait for their concert!

Christopher Guest, where are you?
The sad thing is, these guys are selling TONS of this clap-trap!! What a peculiar species we are...
Oh HELL, no! (waving finger in the air)
First time I heard them, I actually thought they were from Nashville.
File this under "Musical Miscarriage"

That is an interesting concept. However, just strip out the banjos from the Mumfords and you are left with a Nu-folk band without a core folk instrument wailing on exactly the same, track after track, album after album.
Coldplay on the other hand. . .
Mumford & Sons is Coldplay with banjos. DISCUSS.

I can't wait for this band to go away.
Justin Bieber gives more variety from song to song.
Justin Bieber gives more variety from song to song.
I'm becoming more convinced with each song I hear from this group that they are a parody, like Spinal Tap or the Folksmen.
Has anyone seen Christopher Guest lately?

Not their best new song, which is frankly speaking "much more of the same".
More M&S? Is this some kind of sick joke?

Interesting that this rates 5.5. Also interesting that it only has 110 ratings, quite low for any song on RP older than six months.
Bill and Rebecca are gonna play whatever they want, and I don't want them to change whatever magic formula they use to program this marvelous website. RP has introduced me to far more music than any other source I can remember.
