Aparat do bani
Z sentymentem wzruszona
Wzięła go w ramiona i
I czule do niego rzekła
Ty jesteś rodem z piekła
A ja jestem rodem z nieba
Nic więcej nie potrzeba
Nic więcej nam nie potrzeba
Ty jesteś starym gratem
Ja cię naprawię zatem
Zmienię ci obudowę
I włożę części nowe i
I będziesz piękny jak dawniej
I będziesz działać sprawnie
Znów pokażesz klasę
I zaświergolisz czasem
A ja cię wsadzę w klatkę
Byś nie odleciał przypadkiem
Będziemy piękni jak dawniej
Będziemy działać sprawniej
It's much more likely that they don't like the song. I'm not bothered in the least about the language or lyrics, but I wouldn't rate it higher than 5.
I thought it would never happen!
So glad and proud
Adam Sandler is that you?
Regardless, this is great!
Ha! I see I'm not alone.
Regardless, this is great!
Sounds like Adam Sandler singing the Thanksgiving song - just sayin’
I just logged on to say the same dang thing!
There was a lady who found
A faulty apparatus
Suddenly moved
she held it and said:
"You are from hell
I am from heaven
There's nothing else we need"
...
Here's another translation from deepl.com. A little better, I think, but maybe still slightly off:
Once a lady found
Sucker
I was moved with sentiment
She took him in her arms and
And she tenderly said to him
You are from hell.
And I am from heaven
Nothing more is needed
We don't need anything else
You're an old junk.
So I'll fix you
I'm gonna change your housing
And I will insert new parts and
And you will be as beautiful as ever
And you're gonna be fine
You'll show your class again
And you're gonna shine sometimes
And I'll put you in a cage
You wouldn't fly away by accident
We will be beautiful as before
We'll be more efficient
(repeat)
And just now there was this song that I heard here on RP 3 or 4 years ago and that really went on in my mind for days. I always thought it was music from Bulgaria, Hungary or the like, and today learned more about it. BTW: Within seconds I hit the 10Points button.
Though not understanding a single word, there is a lot of energy and joy in this great music.
This is a very nice song, makes me want to explore Polish music more, even if i don't understand a word of Polish (na zdrowie doesn't count )
Thanks for the diversity played on this station Bill, that's why we love RP!
RP is for me absolutely the best internet radio station in the net and that is why I'm glad that also Polsh music is present here!
Greetings from Racibórz, Poland!
Greetings from Seattle, Washington, USA!! I'm enjoying this more than the first time, going 5 to 7 today....Long Live RP!! And keep the Polish music coming, BillG!!

You are an old wreck
Let me fix you then
I'll fix your chassis
And put in new parts
And you'll be gorgeous like before
And you will work flawlessly
You will show your class
And will tweet on occasion
And I'll put you in a cage
So that you don't fly away
We will be beautiful again
We will work right again
We will be beautiful again
We will work right again
We will be beautiful again
We will work right again
We will be beautiful again
We will work right again
OK, that is neat.
Greetings from a Pole in Paris France
Today I heard Francis Cabrel (favorite French) and Czeslaw Mozil that I never heard about since I do not live in Poland since many many years
Genres, countries - expanding my listening pleasure...
This is why I listen to Radio Paradise.. to find such treasures....
Nuggets of Joy .... Thank you for sharing this gem....
"And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad..."
First thought that popped in my head.
I'll just have the Borscht.
NB
That "Big Ass" guitar is a guitarron mexicano, the first acoustic bass guitar. It can be as deep as it is wide—the guitarronista is standing to the side for a reason.
Dude, Mexico is in North America!
They speak Spanish due to their colonial inheritance. The Mariachi music is also influenced by the Spanish traditional music although it has a personality of its own for sure. Another thing, if you listen to the "Banda" music, very popular in northern Mexico (and southern United States by the way) it has an odd resemblance to German folk music, particularly if you look at the instruments... you know why? Because of all the Germans that settled in that part of the country and brought the beer industry along.
So yeah, listening to music in Polish is rather unusual outside of Poland (or Chicago for that matter) but it's interesting to hear songs in other languages, don't you think?
Music in poland suck in 99% but this 1 % fortunate is more like most of great musicians on Paradise .... mozil out but if i may.. from Poland: riverside, Kazik Staszewski, Jacek Kaczmarski ..... and on and on
cheers all
Gave 8.0 just because it's actually a first Polish song ever heard here. BTW his name is Czeslaw Mozil, not Czeslaw Spiewa. "Spiewa" means "Sings" in Polish :-)
PS. Plizzz try other Polish bands from time to time, there're plenty. See Kroke from my own town and their music, or Krakow Klezmer Band.
Barek, not only Czesław. I heard Anita Lipnicka and Riveside, but Czesław in Polish was unexpected and very nice.
You're right, you're not going to pick up much of the foreign language of a non-English song. But you're going to be exposed to different musical styles and conventions. You may not understand the words of a singer in a mariachi song but you'll get to hear a grouping of instruments unusual to North Americans, including that Big Ass guitar:

There are enough opportunists in my country!

Awesome. Thanks
Were you being ironic when you used 'in lieu of'?
Erm, "foreign" is by definition a relative term. I'm afraid to say that, for most of the world's population, English is a "foreign language". Can you say "cultural imperialism"? ;-)
Fun song. I like it.
Thank you Bill for playing varied music.
Seconded! Attention-grabbing, fun, and a nice corrective to the stereotype of Poles as dour folk. Oy Va Voi, Slavic-style. 8 from the intrigued Nottingham jury.

The saddest thing I've ever read on an RP forum.
At least it's Polish. Could be Hungarian.

Unfortunately, I think I'd hate this song even if the singer were belting out in perfect American English.
I don't agree with you that most songs in non-English tongues are worthless. I think we all have to ask, "Would I like this song or band if I could understand them?" I have no trouble mentally binning a group that gets a "No" when I answer myself. Sigur Rós is the best example off the top of my head: their novelty wore off after listening to them for five minutes.

It's not Russian, you ignorant, it's Polish. So if you disagree, say "nie"!
Or "tak" für YES, like I do :-)
Thanks RP für that song
I have no clue as to what they are singing but the music is cute!
“Boy, those (Poles)! They have a different word for everything.”
S. Martin
If somebody wants to check something else from poland, YouTube/google: Gaba Gulka, Lao Che, Hey and of course new stuff from CzesÅaw!
There are so many great songs and so few slots. Why waste our time with this garbage?!!
i'm with you.
here i come, spotify!
Seconded..

....agreed.....and more......(where TF is the #puke icon?)
too bad it is not in English but I'm afraid people would not understand the meaning fully anyway...

That's my take on it. The more I hear it, the more I like it...
Please play more songs from the "East". The guys, who only listens to music from Europe, USA etc. of course dont understand such music and cannot feel it. But they can learn and there is a lot of superb music from the East, for example from Russia. There are dozens of rock-bands, who are legends there and whose music is loved by many generations. Too bad, that some of you did not and will never listen to those bands and songs...
X 2.
How much I like it ? - 4
agreed
Lyrics: however please understand it doesn't make much sense in Polish either. It's just playing with words
Translation is not word-by-word but it matches the sense
Tiltle "Twitting machine"
One day a lady found a device lately
And with a sentiment suddenly
She embrased it hardly
And she tell to it softly
You must be from hell surely
and I am from heaven
Nothing we'll need forever
more. Nothing we'll need foreveer
You are a piece of crap
So I will repair you up
I'll make you a new chassis
And put new parts to fit
As modern you'll feel
And work as brand new thing
First class you'll have as before
and you'll twit more
And I will put you to a cage one day
For you not to fly away
First class we'll have as before
and we will twit more
First class we'll have as before
and we will twit more...
I'm with you a hundred percent on that one. I've always been lyric-deaf for some reason. I just can't understand/differentiate most of what the folks are singing so if necessary, I have to look up the lyrics or read 'em from the liners. And, no, I didn't catch these lyrics either.
