as with david byrne, I may not love every direction ec takes, but it's always interesting and well done.

Ok, I'm 50 and I sucked 30 years ago, so I'll try something different.
Ooops! I still SUCK!
Worst song I ever heard on RP.

Wow! the first Costello song that didnt make me switch off RP within a microsecond. 2
Would this be considered minstrel music?
Wow, he's tried about every kind of music, except Gospel and World/Ambient (?).

Let's face it, since Almost Blue, his only constant has been inconstancy. I guess that's the risk of staying open and experimental.
2 to 1...please stop this song from playing anymore...

Elvis sang this last time through Ypsilanti (where the girls don't wear panties apparently... I hadn't noticed) opening for Bob Dylan. Elvis played solo, and was so much better than Bob it was kinda embarrassing for the old coot. Regardless of a great performance I don't like much of this most recent stuff.

Dear Elvis,
I loved you much more when you didn't suck.
Hate,

one of those annoying meaningless songs that you just can't wait to end

ALthough this sounds like Costello meets Randy Newman I still like it.

I have yet to rate this since it falls a bit in my estimation each time I hear it. His older stuff is nearly, if not outright brilliant, but this starts to grate.

Randy Newman has been writing the same song for 30 years. Elvis was way cool in the 70's & 80's. Now...not so much.

Elvis got drunk at a country western bar and took the mike. somebody take his keys.
IMO this is Elvis' best album!
Quite like this one....great toe-tapping ditty!
I'm not a EC fan by any means, and after hearing this song, nothing has changed.

Wow, I like this and I'm not a big EC fan! Catchy. T-Bone Burnett produced this and that's Jerry Douglas on dobro. No wonder I like it.

Yeah this is really good, maybe I need to start listening to Costello again, I used to be a BIG fan up to "North". Speaking of that album, btw..Read a review of it where the reviewer said " Elvis Costello, the man that made me hate a direction"
