I love just about everything the Beatles ever did, but one song has to be my favorite. Hard to pick it, impossible to say why, but this one is it.

I read somewhere once it was an artifact of the recording process, and that it didn't really matter because the record would be played on a mono radio station. Remember too, that records used to come in both mono and stereo versions. We're seeing a lot of these artifacts now because of mixing the original master tapes into stereo CDs.

Ah, Rubber Soul - this is where they started to pull ahead of everyone else and redefined music forever. Just simply wonderful. Listen to anything else from 1965 and you'll be amazed at the comparison with this album. I was born in the 70's, so that's not nostalgia talking!

Yep, Rubber Soul was '65 and Revolver was '66 - their first true psychedelic album.

Wouldn't mind hearing more from this album. What about Michelle? The best Beatles "pop" album before they went "deep" with Revolver. Hope I have the chronology right there. Rubber Soul was the album before Revolver, right?
