Do you realize the things you said never made sense?
We can sit here and laugh
But we don't know the half of it, in your defense
We've been talking a while
And it seems to me each time you smile, lights are coming on
But they don't burn too strong
And they won't stay for long, and then they're gone again
Funnyman, gotta plan, to be something wonderful
Funnyman, listening, to the world turn in on itself
Tuning in, to a brand new universe
Funnyman, could never be, anything, else
Do you remember the night
When I had to play your angel, saving your soul?
Even though you were holding on tight
Part of you was taken by your demons below
And with no more to lose
You said you feel like a bruise, on a beautiful body
And all the damage you do
Is so honest and true, I don't want to feel sorry for you
Funnyman, got a plan, to be something wonderful
Funnyman, listening, to the world turn in on itself
Tuning in, to a brand new universe
Funnyman, could never be, anything else
Yaga Baga Waga. Oh My.
The killer tour: KT, PJ Harvey, Lucinda, and Kathleen Edwards.
That be guitar crazy.
Samantha Fish would be a killer opener.
Samantha Fish inspiration.
She's also an amazing performer. Check out her break through performance, after hitting brick walls in an industry that was telling her she was too old. She got the call to appear and had just a few hours to catch a plane down to London, which, according to her, was perfect in retrospect. She didn't have time to think too much or get too nervous. I remember her speaking about not even having enough time to think about what to wear.
You can also see how the other musicians were spellbound as well (not sure how to include the link -- click below and that will hopefully take you there).
Breakthrough Performance
What an amazing performance from the Scottish lassie from the beautiful town of St. Andrews !!

That would be a great super group
That be guitar crazy.
That's cool
I like that
As a fan of her early work It took me a few listens to 'get' this album and what she was doing this time. Something I like about her is her exploring and trying different things musically. She is very talented in the triumvirate of musician, singer and songwriter.

thank you. As a designer myself, people often think it's as simple as slapping an image and type down (once in a while, it is) but there is a lot more going on when something gets designed before the approval process. Been at this for 30+ years and I've seen plenty of designs done in Powerpoint, Word from non-designers that needed a TON of work to get something decent. Some of the non-designers find out then and there that it's tougher than it looks.
As for this cover, I like it. it's tongue in cheek 80s metal/glam. Be curious to know how much of it was derived from KT herself. Did she come up with the title? Did the music inspire the design treatment? how much of this was to reset her image or in reaction to the prior album?
Yeah, it is kinda hot isn't it?
Kinda??!!
Not to mention the eyes.
VERY NICE MUSIC !!!;--)
May I have a cup of coffee with that piece of Cake?
Because Stevie always used so much fuzz on her guitar??????
Your banana has as big a guitar as KT does (taking scale in to account)
Good track from this "Giant Guitar Album"
Got the accoutrements, but not a Jersey Girl
True, she's not from a Channel Island or The Garden State. Good song.
It's OK, Fred, I think she's 40. That's probably olde enough for a geezer like you ... definitely old enough for a geezer like me.
I think you'd have to ask that of a shrink. It shouts fit, assertive and confident young woman who'll not take shit from anyone to me, but then I've been smitten with KT for some time , which at my age is probably something I should see a shrink about. Still, grow old disgracefully and all that...

KT Tunstall - Funnyman - at Gawsworth Hall, Macclesfield. 19-7-2013
thanks again, RP
I thought the song was about Robin Williams.
Did you get past the title to make this assertion? There is nothing in the lyrics that would bring you to this conclusion.

I thought Drastic was ok, but I liked her first album much more.

Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
Supreme Beings of Leisure - Under The Gun
Dengue Fever - Uku
More, please. Happy Friday!
I can't tell if those are CFM boots or ass kicking boots.
Ya know, I think I'd be up for either.
We don't do trailer Park in Scotland.
K. T. is great. Braw an' a'.
Aye, gallus like :o). Great song, great singer, great album, and a shame that she's become a bit too 'polished' with her newer CD. This is the best of her 3 albums, IMO - not a duff song on it, punchy instrumentals, bold strong vocals, and sheer oomph. 10 from the smitten Nottingham jury for the song, 9 for the album. And I just love a strong woman with a big instrument and kinky boots

Really?

Do not agree at all! The photo looks trailor-park to me!
KT is good, though!

indeed
I think that's the point of it - deliberately silly, 70's glam look.
Not to mention the eyes.

You mean you never have done 'trailor-park'?
Cutest dimples in rock 'n roll.
Yup. Have no idea if she is really good looking or not. The packaging and the attitude are HOT. In a strong, self-confident way.
First time, I turned up RP this morning.
8->9

Thanks BTrain. Mental illness among family and friends is one the toughest challenges we all face.
too big, too small, will some one buy this girl a normal size guitar?

au contraire...she is diminutive...she is scottish i believe..nuff said.
Hey, she can walk over me with those boots any time :o). I do like KT, perhaps the finest thing to come out of Fife since the coal mines shut down ;-).
Yes, this rocks!
A bit of a change from Pink Floyd, but I can manage it. hehe
killer boots
Okay, where I have been - it is A good song. I especially like the beginning, so powerful.
Boots could have been better indeed, something like these for example.
Actually, I'd be very happy if someone could find me a 'flat' (no heel raising) pair of boots like that for cheap...
