Might Tom Waits without a sever hang-over sound like this? More or less?
Wow, only 5.2 average rating? Pretty rough crowd on this one.
I hear an acoustic Mink DeVille, and I do think it is a catchy tune, better followed by something lively though...
You guys think you are being clever, but you are just being mean. It's a good song and belongs here.
its ok
Can't find anything too special about this one.
This guy can't sing in tune.Shite and a 1.
or maybe even Tom Waits, but only if he has had a lot of sleep, has not touched a bottle or cigarettes in about 2 months! vandal wrote:

Listen to the story he's telling, it's a great ballad that is 100% his.
Indeed he is. Thanks for the gentle nudge. The following quote is on his website and it's validation enough for me. ************************************ Now it seems that all of the best ones have been driven underground. If there is a leak in the boiler room, it is the music of Jesse DeNatale, a unique and original American voice. - Tom Waits

I hear Dr. John.
We can all trace influences, but IMHO this is simply good music. Nice story, well sung, great groove, nice rhythm.

While we're at it, let's throw John Prine and Ramblin Jack Elliot into the mix. No, wait a second, that's a lot of people... so I guess we gotta say, he's not really quite like anybody else.
Right! Spoken like a true eclecticision with forward vision (Eclecti what? ;)
