Touch of The Beatles is just fine :) Music will remain the same. "I am Sam" is obligatory if you happen to like such covers. I consider it one of the best OST's ever.

I like Steve Earl ... but I don't like this. I just don't sense the right kind of emotion from it that I get from the Beatles far superior original. And that feels wierd to say, seeing as I'm commenting on Steve Earl....

True, this song is covered unnecessarily, however, this CD is very good. Would love to hear some more Earle on RP.

Most songs by the Beatles can be improved by other performers' rendering them, except for the Beatles songs whose lyrics and instrumentation are too vapid. I vaguely remember not thinking much of the Beatles (except for a few songs) and because of the widespread adoration being afraid to say so. But I'll bet I have lots of silent company. Still, there are the few excellent pieces . . . This one is OK.

Though the "bluegrass cover of well-known rock standard" is joke that stops being fun after a short time, this is a pretty good selection of subject matter. The song is fairly well suited to the treatment. But I'm generally hesitant about Beatles covers -- usually, I'd rather just listen to the original.
