Can you see, can you see
Oh, can't you see?
You're not fooling me
But it's all right, baby
It's all over now
Thought I knew
Thought I knew, thought I knew
What did I know?
Guess I didn't know you
But it's all right baby
It's all over now
Did we love
Did we love, did we love?
Who did you love
When I was loving you?
But it's all right, baby
It's all over now
How I cried
How I cried, and I cried
All the time
The time spilled over you
But it's all right, baby
It's all over now
Can you see?
Can you see, can you see?
Oh, can you see
You're not fooling me
Well, it's all right baby
It's all over now
Well it's all right, baby
Look who's crying now
Look who's crying now
Do it now
Do it now
Well, it's all over now
I like the perfectly lazy, very slightly behind the beat snare. Set s a very cool vibe.

Alas, RP shows the Americans what they missed, again.
One of Canada's Greatest Rock Outfits, that We never heard, South of the Border, due to FM Radio's corporate shit.
These Guys won Juno Awards ( it's like a Grammy, without the Labels being involved), yet No One in America has heard of Em!!
Thanks RP !
EveryOne Else: listen to their Entire Catalog !Opem Up, Baby.If I Has My Way.Wild Ox Moan.AA Aardvark Hotel....
I would add Rolling Pin, Ride Like Hell, Diggin' a Hole, Tommy Johnson, Better Get Used to It... Just check out everything they've ever recorded and SEE THEM LIVE!!
That's some raunchy guitar. Bokey likey.
Thought it was a funky ZZ Top deep cut at first...

Great Canadian band. Have seen them live at least 5x.
SOOPER LOUD !!!
Gigs are always great fun.
Gary Lowe was a simply groovin'ly outstanding bassist; may he RIP.
Caught them in the late '90s at The Downstairs John at McMaster U. The John is long gone now, but my ears are still ringing as a result of that show.
Wow, that Wikipedia page has the biggest list of past members I think I have ever seen.
I was shocked to learn that I was in that band.
Me too!
I was shocked to learn that I was in that band.

I was just about to comment on the extreme volume of their show... Waterloo, 2000-ish. Talked to the frontwoman of Scratching Post, who'd opened for them, during their show.... well, I mean, we yelled in each other's ears! But what a fantastically tight band.
I didn't think that many people even LIVED in Canada...
c.
They don't. Why Pearson Airport is #2 busiest airport on planet.
As a Canadian I find that comment terribly hilarious.
That's why we like you guys.
Not that you really need any advice from this amateur...LLRP!!
Look after the king of R n R please

I wonder if they were all drummers.
huh....that's what I think whenever I hear this one....so there's 2 of us....and I'm gonna go 7+1 today for the heck of it....Long Live RP and songs that 'sound like' other bands' songs!!
Not a chance. Big Sugar is being Big Sugar. They don't need to sound like anyone else.
A little more heavy on the reggae.
If you interested give the track "It's All I Know" a try. Warren Haynes guests on it.
Saw them live a few times. They gave me tinnitus. Thanks guys. LOL

Yes, terribly good. (Note the outline of the vinyl worn into the album cover on the scanned illustration.)
I'll second that - he's got fellow Canadian (and ex-The Phantoms) 'Big' Ben Richardson with him on bass and if anything they're rockin' out even more than Big Sugar did!

Did someone mention 'Come & Take Me'? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlNgmnhsogA&feature=related
yeah! I love "Come And Take Me" off of "A Cup of Cold Poison".
Awfully good.
I agree with you awfully a lot.
Awfully good.
Why is the same segue happening again in April of 2008? Is radio parasise recycling?
You must be new here...
Gord has used special effects on his vocals on a lot of the Big Sugar records (and live), but I don't think it's to compensate for his singing skills, or perceived lack thereof. He uses a lot of special effects on his guitar, too.
definitely some Savoy Brown
Yes, AND some Canned Heat!
Solid 8 if I ever heard one.
