This is the sound of my early/mid twenties and I'm not mad about it at all.
has a little Franz Ferdinand sound...cannot place the tune but it's been awhile...
GOT it - Take Me Out...fun track and the album wasn't bad.
What kind of drug addict screamin music is this?

Kudos for these guys daring to bring a little 80s into their sound. And they happen to rock. Great stuff, and a recent discovery for me.

the 2002 is about 20 years back. The eighties are about another 20 years back.  just a thought I had.
Is this song meant as a joke?!?
One of the best records of the 00's.

So deeply in love with this album... So much passion <3
The Smiths light!
I turned it up when it first started thinking it was Metric - Speed the Collapse. Much to my disappointment it was not and I had turned it waaaaay down.
God almighty, this song is fucking annoying. Straight to PSD!

Ho hum.

Reminds me of the days when music wasn't so pretentious.

"Reminds me of the days when music wasn't so pretentious."

Reminds me of days when bands perform without rehearsals or a real singer. {#Naughty}

Maybe there's a reason this song hasn't seen light of day for 12 years.
I'm so pleased to be able to move this song's average rating to below "6" -- a particularly grating song in a surprisingly annoying set.
YES! Another song praising redheads! :-) "Your hair is so pretty and reeeeeeed..."
i heard interpol broke up ... is this true?!?
I started singing "Just like a one-winged dove" when this song started.
Talk about music dominated by insipid drumming, this is it. Oh, and raucous singing, if that's what it is called.
Nostalgia band. Reminds people of the manchester heydays = success with the thirtysomething generation.

He he he. See my post below.

Them too, as well as Bauhaus. Good stuff.

These blokes so rock. An 8 all the way. So what if Joy Division and Echo & the Bunnymen did this sort of music already 20 years ago?
\\:D/
Coldplay Interpol what's the difference??Boths are Sucks!
sophisticated garage. oops, an oxymoron.

Really cool, man!

I'm usually open to all kinds of music. This does nothing for me. Bleh. Not horrible, just not outstanding.

This is not good. <-(

Isn't that the line from SCARFACE? " Say hello to my leetle Angeles!!! ( rapid bursts of weapons' fire)"
Yes, add some Joy Division and Nick Cave's Wheeping Song for a time wharp. I say so ... seating here in Kremlin, opps - beautiful fogy and rainy Vancouver
"Burn my fingers Burn my toes Burn my uncle Burn his books Burn his shoes" Sounds more than a little like "Third Uncle." Not that that's a bad thing...
I've seen Interpol twice in concert, and while they're a little stiff onstage, these guys are a good tight rock band (which is refreshing nowadays). I understand the JD comparisons because of his voice, but not much else. Musically, there's a little Psychedelic Furs influence in there.
8) Joy Division, Smiths too... and The Strokes
