Alas my love, ye do me wrong to cast me out discourteously,
And I have loved you for so long delighting in your company...
Greensleeves was all my joy,
Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves was my heart of gold
And who but Lady Greensleeves...

Ritchie - what have you done? have to respect Blackmore for having the cajones to follow his musical passions, and go this "light and sappy" route, but... damn ~ HIghway Star, this ain't!

Cooll! IMHO, this is one of the most beaurtiful melodies every written.
I agree, one of my favoritemelodies, ditch the lyrics.
Ew, it sounds like the Bangles doing Loreena McKennitt.
I seem to remember a story that the lyrics of the non-Xmas Greensleeves were written by Henry VIII for Anne Boleyn. Pint of mead anyone?

I concur! Bravo!
A little overwrought, which detracts from the simplicity of a otherwise beautiful tune. I'd still listen to it, but it's not my favorite rendition.
I enjoyed it ... can't help but see it as totally seasonal, but it was soothing and nicely done.
