To treat me like you do
When you've laid your hands upon me
And told me who you are?
I thought I was mistaken
I thought I heard your words
Tell me, how do I feel?
Tell me now, how do I feel?
Those who came before me
Lived through their vocations
From the past until completion
They'll turn away no more
And I still find it so hard
To say what I need to say
But I'm quite sure that you'll tell me
Just how I should feel today
I see a ship in the harbour
I can and shall obey
But if it wasn't for your misfortune
I'd be a heavenly person today
And I thought I was mistaken
And I thought I heard you speak
Tell me, how do I feel?
Tell me now, how should I feel?
Now, I stand here waiting
I thought I told you to leave me
While I walked down to the beach
Tell me, how does it feel
When your heart grows cold?
To go from Joy Division, Love Will Tear us Apart, the death of Ian Curtis, forming New Order and creating this most influential masterpiece. Wow what a band
Joy Diviosn ..... what could have been ..... if only .....
Masterpiece no doubt. Most don't appreciate the influence these guys had over so many bands. They need to stop thinking like the previous comment labelling it as robot music.
Robots like to move too, you got a problem with that?
I Agree! Are you from NJ? LOL!
Years.
Robot music.

And?
8.30 am here, thank you for playing this song: what a boost of energy to start the day!
I Agree. 5:30am here, & my coffee is just starting to kick in! Thanx RP!
Robot music.
Maybe. And?
Back in the UK day, this was the best tune to drown out your attempts to chat to girls.
It certainly hid their laughter at feeble chat-up attempts!
I kissed you in the water
And made your dry lips sing
I saw you look like a Japanese baby
In an instant I remembered everything
Everything, everything, everything
de gustibus non disputandum, but I'll skip this one (no rating)!
This is one way to completely fill a dance floor, even now.
Yeah, I remember being in Prague and this song came on. All it takes is a slightly more modern kick and some bass and this thing kills in modern electro discos, too.
It's the remix from '88, isn't it? I like the original better.
The 12" single, so yes.
I was born in 1984. I'll cite my dislike for this song to it being before my time.
Some of us have a quarter of a century head start...
Sorry you missed it, friend.
Too Funny!!!
Same here, but I'm in the kitchen and just bumped into the fridge!
Same here, but in the office into a desk.

... and that was two years ago....
Not that there's any comparison
It doesn't need to be comparable - this is RP, eclectic.
So this, but no Gang Of Four? Come on RP.
Not that there's any comparison
I find this undeniable. For one of the first times since joining Radio Paradise, I am at a loss to understand the negative comments.
If this is one of the first times you don't understand the negativity on RP you're not paying attention.
Absolutely. I was 16 and more into punk when this was released, and I hated other dance music at the time but right from the start I recognised something in this one and loved it even then.
I BELIVE ITS AN 11

Long gone times...
Just saying and not a negative, just a little humour
Had as a 12" 45! Took me a few plays at 33 to realize that I had not just purchased the worst music ever.
Thirty six years later: 10.
Exactly.

No, you are wrong ... you must now boil your head in penance
Hmmm.... let me take a stab at this. Not enough MDMA/Ecstasy?
I was given comp tickets to an outdoor concert of a famous 'classic rock' band. Part way through I recall wishing I had a tonne more weed to smoke. At that point I knew I was not enjoying the concert much.
Used to like the first two minutes or so but not even that much now...It's like being stuck in an 80s S&M bar with a hangover.
Speaking as a person who actually was stuck in an 80's S&M bar (to be precise it was 1979, close 'nuf) I confirm the above. Music for people who don't like music, or thinking, or anything actually...
