Sunrise
Sunset
Since the beginning it hasn't changed yet
People fly high begin to lose sight
You can't see very clearly when you're in flight
It's high time that you found
The same people you misuse on your way up
You might meet up
On your way down
Vintage wines from the year '62
It's your thing, it's your thing
It pleases you
You got to frown when you cross town
You think it's an honor just to have you around
It's high time that you found
The same dudes you misuse on your way up
You might meet up
On your way down
You think the sun rises and sets for you
But the same sun rises, sets and shines
On the poor folks too
I don't mind you turning round
I myself would even like a little higher ground
It's high time that you found
The same people you walk on on your way up
You might meet up
On your way down

Great lyrics, words to remember.
This is one of my all-time favourite albums. If I had to rebuild my music collection it would be in the first tranche of acquisitions.

Little Feat. Awesome. Nutin' else to say.
Wow! This is just great! Play more often, Bill!
I bought the live album and I guess I forgot to buy all their other albums.
I love this!
I love this!
May this album's title never share the fate of the country band's name now known as The Chicks.
Wow, a Little Feat song I haven't heard or rated yet on RP. Automatic 8 from me.

I am DC Native and I was at the same show in 1977 at the Lisner Auditorium on the GW Campus that was recorded for one of the best live albums in History, "Waiting For Columbus"! The Feat showed up about and hour more late and the "natives were definitely getting restless". They walked on stage and asked how we were doing and... just "Hit IT". An hour and a half later they closed with "Spanish Moon" and one by one walked off never to return for an encore. After 20 minutes of futile effort to get them back... everyone just looked at each other said, "That was best show they had ever seen! It remains mine!
I lived in DC in the 1970s and was fortunate to see Little Feat several times while Lowell George was still alive, including the concerts that ended up on the Waiting for Columbus album. Definitely my favourite band of that era.

is that Bonnie Raitt providing back-up vocal?
Excellent cover of the Allen Toussaint song. Toussaint was musical gift and genius.

One of the most versatile bands of all time.
Yeah... That's what I'm talking about. Yup. In this one, for sure. MAKES IT SPECIAL.

Why is Little Feat not in the R&R Hall of Fame? A travesty...

What a band! (Still are.)
Proof that a collection of excellent studio musicians can do anything when propelled by creativity. Los Angeles musicians sounding exactly like Dirty South and the other LA: Louisiana.
And I swear I met that cover girl in the bar of the Commodore Hotel.

Your years of college?
We here in DC had them guys playing gigs for locals, wow, 71 maybe, maybe 72? I could not in a long moment remember when.
I'm sure that's why this is a 10 for me. High Times Indeed!
My college girlfriend at the time was from California - she went home for Christmas break and came back with this album. Us East Coasters had not really heard of Little Feat at the time even though they had toured in the DC area. Anyway, I was hooked from the start and their albums stayed on my turntable for years.
Thanks, Denise!

More Feat, from Time Loves a Hero.
Never heard this song before, I thought it was Steve winwood on organ, oops. I'm liking it though, solid 8.
Absolutely fantastic thank you rp
Groovy musicians and great lyrics.
Little Feat. A cool band
9-10, these guys were the greatest at the time. Love me some Feat!
This was our theme song where I used to work for some of the best back stabbers in the business. A solid 10 with a kick in the butt! Love those Feat!
I didn't recognize this. Sounds different from the Little Feat songs I know. I like the slow tempo and mood of the song. I do like their other more known work too. Love RP for the great diversity and for also playing less known stuff!

What a way to start the day!
Thanks, Bill.
Also of note: I love the way this song progressed over the years, including Shaun Murphy singing it live.

Karma gon' gitcha!
Such a great, distinctive sound. Little Feat has retroactively become a mainstay of my soundtrack of the 70s.
The feat in full pitter - patter
Good tune!! ;)

I love the sound of Lowell's slide as it blends with the harmonies.
"Well, it's high tiiiiimme....."

A no-brainer. 10.
Great Classic Feat ...... we're thinking of you AT!
Toussant is derived from the phrase "All Saints." Certainly all the Saints will be cheering you through the pearly gates, mon ami. Bon voyage
I thought I knew all the Dixie Chicken songs. I don't recall this one. Thanks RP. I like it.
