This is a song about somebody else
So don't worry yourself, worry yourself
The devil's right there, right there in the details
And you don't wanna hurt yourself, hurt yourself
By looking too closely
By looking too closely
No no no no…

Put your arms around somebody else
And don't punish yourself, punish yourself
The truth is like blood underneath your fingernails
You don't wanna hurt yourself, hurt yourself
By looking too closely
By looking too closely
No no no no…
No no no no…

You don't wanna hurt yourself
You don't wanna hurt yourself

And I could be wrong about anybody else
So don't kid yourself, kid yourself
It's you right there, right there in the mirror
You don't wanna hurt yourself, hurt yourself
By looking too closely
Mmmmmmmm
By looking too close
Mmmmmmm

Yeah…..
Looking too closely
You don't wanna hurt yourself
You don't wanna hurt yourself
By looking too closely

Your morning is my evening.  Good Evening / Morning / Sometime Lily

Lyrically a total failure, musically about as droned as one can get. Way, way too much ego in this tune.

I find the lyrics rather confronting and quite thought provoking....look in the mirror once in a while

Because its evening afternoon midnight somewhere else in the world… you have other options Lily…  And I know RP is the best

Iagree with the 1st post, to a degree. Good voice but, the lyrics.... Not really much to them, to even get a grasp about what he's on about! Quite like the sound, though!
Which one is Fink?
I really like Fink from what I've heard here on RP... Thanks BillG and R again!
Wow the last minute of that nearly blew up my speakers.

great choon
Excellent orchestration. Great track. Moved from 8 to 9 to 10. Yep! It's that good.
Always liked this song and I have no idea why I never gave it a rating. Situation remedied. 8
Really liking this one

Wow...you must be a very fast driver!  (at least I make myself laugh....)
Though I completely know what it's like to be on a long drive with limited music, and sometimes the repeated listening is great in making Happy Memories....like this track for me, as I could hit the (missing from RP!) repeat button a few times in a row.  Long Live RP (even without a 'repeat' button) and I'll stick with my 9 on this cut.
Hearing a lot of Newton Faulkener in this track which is no bad thing in my book from a local lad.

Are you sure? I don't think I agree, but you sound so confident.

Suppose, if I listened to it too much I might find the lyrics excruciating, but for now I don't give a rat's ass about the lyrics, because I really dig the tones and harmonies.

Very consistent album. Pairs well with Elbow and Snow Pattol, and a nice Chianti!
The lyrics are simple, yet quite profound.

According to my comment a mere four days ago, you can play this as much as you want, Bill!
I'm in absolute love with this song, now boosted up to a 9.
Love the long decay at the end of the song—excellent video as well. {#Roflol}

this song made me pause in my hectic pace and think and breathe.  I need to do that intermittently.

thanks for that reminder

At once a rocking song, and yet the lyrics never spell out what, exactly, you are avoiding looking at too closely. Leaves a lot of room for interpretation — in a good way.

cause of continental shelf please love yourself.
still a fave of mine......turn it up loud!

Are Fink Snow Patrol in disguise? And that rhythm guitarist must get seriously fed up hitting that same chord all through the verses...

Nae bad, but it would be nice if they had a more distinctive sound. 5 from the SP-phobic Nottingham jury.

Fin(k) the vocalist is the rhythm guitarist. Try listening to some of their other stuff. Well worth a listen.
love it ! mmmmm
If you can catch him live then do it. Amazing live performance.

Love it. Killer lyrics and vibe. Bump to 9
I love you, Radio Paradise, for this piece and everything else!!! :)
Getting to love this stuff.
Repeat yourself, repeat yourself..
Sounds like the Silver Sun Pickups to me, not quite as thickly layered on the vocals.

I don't know why I find this song so grating...I turn off RP til it's over. From the comments, the problem is between the keyboard and my chair. Glad you are loving it...,maybe I'll catch up one of these days

nope, still not working for me. RP break til it's over...sure, I could PSD, but that doesn't work through my Sonos. Oh well

Beautiful renditions of the songs.

nice little trips, space an groove.

highly, highly recommended if you are a fan of his OR if you're  fan of live shows.

Yes, a great show so I heard, but was in Morocco then. Bombino was sort of a substitute, or not.

Note to self: start putting together coherent sentences.
