Fell in love with a boy
Grew tired of it
Fell in love with the world
Yearned to fly from it
Fell in love with myself
Broke it off for the breeze
Broke it off for the weather

Walking slowly through space
Pleased and terrified
Backing out of the race
Extra edified
I want my sentences back
Can't remember their faces

And I'm still here
Holding on, and nothing, man
Stand on my life
Rewriting my delivery
Walk the river
Like a hunted animal

Everything was the life
The summer holidays
Christmastime in the drive
Always out of rain
Sit down and fall on a star
Did someone mention the weather
Did someone mention the weather

And I'm still here
Holding on to nothing, man
Stand on my life
Here is my delivery
Walk the river
Like a hunted animal

It's an endless conversation
With an endless voice, over endless fascination
Over endless choice,
and my heart's going out of missions on imagined motorways
I never said I was right, I just hoped you thought it anyway

Walk the river
Like a hunted animal
Walk the river
Like a hunted animal
Walk the river
Like a hunted animal
Walk the river
You hunted animal
Walk the river
We have lost all animals

I am hearing the Shins with a little more production.

Anyone else hear Duran Duran?

I'm hearing Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, i believe
Definitely some old school music, and in a good way... reminds me a bit of Avi Buffalo and other similar shoegaze styled hipster bands from way back in the late 2000s and takes me back to a different time.
This is just... great.
Death masque cloud above, beautiful cover

It's not a metaphor, it's a simile.
A great sound.

And probably in the top ten bands named after seabirds.

Every time  I hear this song  I drop what I am doing  and just listen  thank you BILL

I love this song. It also pleases me the masses on here do not - usually a good sign in my book.
Possibly the song with most annoying and gratingly repetitive lyrics on RP.
Does nothing for me.
I like the tune, but the metaphor 'like a hunted animal' is not very good.

This is so not DuranDuran....The vocals maybe sounding a little like Simon Le Bon but that's it.
Really like this lovely moody song so much. But now conflicted, as I may feel compelled to drop it down a notch. All that jingly, jangling, sparkle-pony stuff at the end. Why is it just now annoying me? Dunno.

This is a moody delight of a song. Angst-y teens in bedrooms, that sorta thing. And ya'll know it.
amateurish hipster crap, instantly recognizable and forgotten

It can't be muted fast enough

Is that intended as a plus?

Perhaps in time Guillemots will evolve to be mute birds.......

Like You always out of rain.
This was painful. After the 100th time of the same thing I started to brace myself insisting that one more I would mute it. Hearing lazy music like this makes me have bad thoughts.
Not a fan of repetition.  Not a fan of repetition. Not a fan of repetition. Not a fan of repetition.

Now that I have me specs on, I can see that you did not say `walk like an Eggplant``

I hear "walk in reverse."

Then Shins-esque it is! (In sound…Shins' lyrics are much better, generally.)
I prefer walking like an Egyptian!
It's one of those songs that despite being terribly generic I still can't help but enjoy. Can't blame anyone for wanting to skip it though.

Don't remember hearing this one yet - love it!

How do haunted animals walk?
Gee, wonder what the song name is.

Used to be a French sound card for PCs too
some people call it a hook line Like the others here, I call it repetitive.
Drove me mad enough to skip.
How does it rate so high??????????

Kind of Shins-esque. Tuneful, yes.
Tune is decent, but the repetitive lyrics are tiresome. Can't listen to this.  Even my young son made me skip this one!

Almost sounds like some harpsichord in the background. Liking this at first listen.

I was thinking mid 80's. I kept trying to figure out if I knew this from my college years.
Wonderful late 70's New Music  sound.
mhmmmm {#Good-vibes}
I bought the CD on the strength of this one song and was a bit disappointed. This song has got something dreamy and magical about it but the rest of the album just felt a bit too polished to grab me.
PS - Bill you need to get something from their debut album in circulation - it's called 'Through the Windowpane' and personally I don't think they've ever bettered it.
When theseguys tour North America do they change their name to 'Common Murres'?

#obscureornithologicaljoke  sigh...
Very good indeed. Like the album art too. Nice to have both to like.

One of the best british bands in the last 10-15 years for sure
Great stuff, just added it to my guitar tabs.

This song is fantastic...  wow...  love it...

interesting band. interesting bird (cool courtship water dance)
Yes, made me look...very pleasing

This song is good for the ears...

Catchy song.  Made my ears perk up.  Good music.
Nice change of pace.

This has a cool groove...  very unique...  love it...
Nice, spiritual music is always good for my soul.
First impression-excellent.
