Good morning little schoolgirl, can I come home with
You
Tell your moma and your papa, I'm a little schoolboy
Too
Come on now pretty baby, I just can't help myself
You're so young and pretty, I don't need nobody else
Good morning little schoolgirl, can I come home with
You
Don't you hear me crying
I'm gonna leave you baby about the break of day
On account of the way you treat me, I got to stay away
Come on now pretty baby, I told you to come on home
You know I love you baby, I gotta get you all alone
Good morning little schoolgirl, can I come home with
You
Can't you hear me crying
I'm gonna buy me an airplane, fly all over your town
Tell everybody baby, Lord know you're fine
Come on now pretty baby, I just can't help myself
You're so young and pretty, I don't need nobody else
Good morning little schoolgirl, can I come home with
You
Can't you hear me crying
Good morning little schoolgirl, can I come home with
You
Good morning little schoolgirl, can I come home with
You
Tell your moma and your papa, I'm a schoolboy too
I'm a schoolboy too
Hey, I'm a schoolboy too
I want to be your chauffeur
I want to ride your little machine
I want to be your chauffeur
I want to ride with your little machine
I want to put a tiger, baby
I want to put a tiger, baby
I want to put a tiger, baby
Hey in your sweet little tank
Hey baby now, yes I do
Huh, oh yes I do now
Hey, I gotta
Hey, I gotta come on home with you
Tell your mother
Baby, tell your papa
Tell your mom and your papa
Hey, I'm a schoolboy too
Hey, hey, I'm a schoolboy too
Huh, huh, I'm a schoolboy too
Huh, I wanna take your company
Hey, I wanna be your company
You
Tell your moma and your papa, I'm a little schoolboy

In addition to the great music, this album is very well recorded.

Might be the dumbest comment I've read here. Thanks for that.
In the last 6 years I can happily report another 400+ folks have rated this one. I'm at an 8, and love the American music of Jazz/Blues (BillG if you add any more mixes to the mix, Classical and Jazz/Blues are a callin')
Shameful (and racist) that only 147 folks rated this song. AYFKM? Wake up children.

Johhny B Goode, followed by When It's Good, Followed by Good Morning Little SchoolGirl.
I don't know what kind of theme Bill is on, but it's good!

American Rock n Roll / Blues GOLD!
Looking at the album cover it seems the Beatles Capitol release of "Long Tall Sally" (Canada) (or "The Beatles Second album" (U.S.)
was inspired by this.

To all the "is this creepy?" people:
I heard an interview with Tom Petty once. When pressed repeatedly about what a certain song meant, he retorted, "they're just rock & roll songs, man. Not my f**king life story. God, you think that every songwriter lived the stories they write about?"
Muddy Waters is the man. It's a song. It's art. God, relax and enjoy it.

My fave is Mississippi Fred McDowell's version. Johnny Winter also. Wonder how the "Me Too" people will hear this. Let's give Mudd, Fred and Johnny Winter all a pass and assume she's a Post-Doctoral Fellow.

Around here, schoolgirls are working on graduate degrees or post-doctorate research. Song's as apropos now as it was then. 'Specially since it's finally springtime ...

Good morning little school girl...?
Muddy-Muddy!!!!
I was on a flight from London to Toronto back in 1988. Ric Lee from Ten Years After was sitting next to me and we struck up a conversation. He mentioned that Ten Years After was playing a blues festival outside of Toronto and that Buddy Guy would be there.
I lent him the headphones of my "Walkman" and had him listen to "Good Morning Little School Girl" by Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy.
His response was, "We really ruined that song, didn't we... "
I'm not sure that I've ever heard a cover of a song that Muddy did that was better than his. I've had this lp since 1971 and have gone through two copies of it - I'll probably need to get the CD soon,

Muddy Waters can't hold a candle to John Lee Hooker when it comes to singing about sex.
"Good morning little schoolgirl, can I go home with you?" Ah, those were such innocent pre-pedo-paranoiac times. Even more amazing is seeing a pic of a young Muddy Waters - I always thought he was born 60 years old with a smoke- and alcohol-seasoned voice. Even grizzled old blues singers were young lads once upon a time :o)
He did sing about sex an awful lot. As we say this side of the Pond, he was like a dog with two dicks (US trans: horndog).

Funny album title. True, blues is a pure form of "folk" music, but it strikes me as funny nevertheless.

The sounds of 1950s Chicago spring to life in this musical drama based on the true story of Leonard Chess (Adrien Brody), a bar owner turned record mogul who signs a lineup of future legends to his fledgling label, Chess Records. He eventually crosses paths with the likes of Muddy Waters (Jeffrey Wright), Chuck Berry (Mos Def) and Etta James (Beyoncé Knowles), changing the face of popular music forever.
