Doo Doo Doo...

I'm too high
I'm too high
But I ain't touched the sky

I'm too high
I'm too high
But I ain't touched the sky

She's a girl in a dream
She sees a four eyed cartoon monster on the TV screen
She takes another puff and says it's a crazy scene
That red is green
She's a tangerine

I'm too high
I'm too high
But I ain't left the ground

I'm too high
I'm too high
I hope I never ever come down

She's the girl in her life
But her world's a superficial paradise
She had a chance to make it big more than once or twice
But no dice
She wasn't very nice

[Harmonica Solo]

Doo Doo Doo...

I'm too high
I'm too high
I can't ever touch the sky

I'm too high
I'm so high
I feel like I'm about to die

She's a girl of the past
I guess that I got to her at last
Did you hear the news about the girl today?
She passed away
What did her friend say?

They said she's too high
Too high
Can't hang around anyway

Doo Doo Doo...

This is the worst song I've ever heard from Stevie Wonder. There is such thing as 'too seventies', and this is it.

Really? I would go with something like "Fox on the Run" or "Seasons in the Sun" or anything by ABBA. But Stevie Wonder "too 70s?"

Then you weren't there. Musically there can never be too much Seventies (except maybe...disco?).

What's with the low rating? This is the bomb, makes me feel like the world is washed in gold and everything is peachy.

Disagree. I think this is some of his BEST. Always gets me funky when I hear me some Stevie!!{#Dancingbanana}
OK, now I know where Royksopp got that sample from.

My afternoon was dragging with too many stressors nipping at my heels and then RP played Too High and my mood brightened considerably. Your playlist today has been wide ranging and a real treat. I will be stopping in at the donations page before the day is done.

Nice jazzy groove. Always dug this one.
I have a bad headache coming and this doesn't make it any better. Mute.
In our smoke-filled dorm rooms in the 70s, we would for some inexplicable reason, laugh our fool heads off when we heard this song.

This sounds like something that belongs on The Muppet Show.

Exactly... Bad trip! bad trip man!

This sounds like something that belongs on The Muppet Show.
One of my favorites... and from JLP - Ethereal Mood - just awesome.

It's my day today.

IMNSHO - Best Stevie album.  And listening to this on my Audioengine A2's cranked is freaking awesome.

I did my part to rectify this dreadful situation:  9

I found this tune just kind or ramblin' along, without much direction or theme to tie it together.  Too obtrusive for background music and not interesting enough to actively listen to.

Pretty much exactly.

not stevie's best, but good nonetheless.

/ not high enough{#Ask}

Stevie is one of those artist (Elton John is another one) who had an incredible run that abruptly, and unexpectedly game to a screeching halt.
So very cool {#Arrowu} too high for a 10....I guess I'm the only one diggin it....

Interesting, but I still like "Superstition" better.
Groovin' along nicely.
