I was a little kid when this came out and don't remember much about the earlier Stones.  Just finished reading Pete Townsend's autobiography, which I highly recommend.  In it he talks a lot about the strong blues influence in this period.

I thought this was one of their best albums .... Carried it with me everywhere during the 60's....

More blues as they started out to be before they saw all the money to be made in Rock...

I didn't even know this was a Stones song when I first heard it done by Lindsey Buckingham. I like the Stones version in a primitive sort of way, but Lindsey's cover kicks A**!

For reasons I have yet to understand, 'Aftermath' may be my favorite Stones album of all! Oddly enough, I like it for the songs that were NEVER played on "Top 40 Radio" when it came out and I was 15 or 16 years old... "Flight 505" and "Goin' Home" are two cases in point...
