Intro is one speed.
First verse is a little faster.
Chorus speeds up again just before “she my pride n joy”

I remember jamming this when I was part of the Trail Crew making what became North Peak, the rad ski terrain behind Keystone, summer of '84; me, Cindy, the 2 Simons, Barbara, Steve, Andy, Lynne, and Stuart; working, partying at our new Summit County Standard Orbit, seeing Mother Nature naked on a daily basis, and having the time of our lives. Stevie rocks!

My wife (who is a tad older than I am) has a lot of similar stories of seeing bands in their early years, most famously was AC/DC who opened for Ted Nugent and were nearly booed off the stage....too soon I guess for the crowd to appreciate. Anyways, I'm this close to making this track a 10 since it's about my wife....ok...it's a 10 now...Long Live RP!!

Saw him back in the day a couple of times. What really blew me away was that he could sound/play like pretty much any band/musician out there. The versatility live was stunning — sometimes it didn't come through in the recordings.

The one time I did see Stevie his warmup (Roy Buchanan) blew him away. Alas, since the brilliant Roy resembled your uncle the English teacher, no hype surrounded him.

Yeah, Stevie Ray and Jimi are so similar it's amazing, although Mr. Vaughn has that unmistakable southwestern Tabasco in his playing style. Mr. Hendrix had something from Mars, and I've not heard that since.

Although my ears were ringing for days afterward, it was one of the best concerts I have ever attended, and I have attended many. He did a Hendrix tribute that was pure musical genius. Instead, these short excerpts of Live performances of artists, only help the spread of the artist, but also help those commercially Companies.
The indiscriminate and persecution, citing the Copyright, from published material on YouTube already has another nature, and can only be interpreted as envy, blatant and arrogant jealousy, non-compliance with the artists, non-compliance with the users of the site (which punctuate, mark favorite and make comments) and non-compliance with the entire Music Community, whose videos are then are devastated (removed) through aggressive and arrogant. No.
It is a misconduct that only harms the image of these companies trade labels, which can be interpreted as arrogance, avarice, desperation and commercial greed.

Has anyone out there ever been to a concert at the Paolo Soleri Theatre? It's located in the magical, mystical foothills of Santa Fe, NM. I saw Stevie there around 1987. Although my ears were ringing for days afterward, it was one of the best concerts I have ever attended, and I have attended many. He did a Hendrix tribute that was pure musical genius. A-frickin-mazing!
Great venue. I saw a half-dozen shows there (lived in ABQ '96-'04), but nothing quite like Stevie must have been; wonderful intimate setting for a show like that.

Back in the early 90's, a guy I used to work with said he saw Stevie Ray at Antone's here in Austin. My buddy was hanging out after Stevie finished drinking a beer right about closing time. There were about 10 people still milling around. Stevie came out and sat on the edge of the stage, the 10 people pulled up chairs, and he played for half an hour or so.
Would have been nice to have one of those seats.

SRV and Double Trouble was our "House Band" when I was in College. I cried when he left this world. Still brings a sorrow to my heart when I hear him, but this song is his 'Stairway to Heaven' or 'Satisfaction' or 'Hey Jude'.
