(J.J. Cale)
Once a day, everyday
Sometimes all night long
She moves her body next to mine
To the rythm of this song
They call her May, some call her June
She just needs a dancer
No matter what day you call her now
I call her fancy dancer
Fancy dancer
The way she moves, I say
If you ask, she will consent
To fancy dance all day
No man has ever lasted out
The night along with her
The pace's too quick, the heat's too hot
She dances in a blur
When the sun begins to fade
You might have a chance
To meet the lady of the night
She is the fancy dancer
Fancy dancer
The way she moves, I say
If you ask, she will consent
To fancy dance all day
She draws attention from anyone
Who happens on her scent
It's mostly men who want to try out
The dancing queen
Fancy dancer
The way she moves, I say
If you ask, she will consent
To fancy dance all day
Once a day, everyday
Sometimes all night long
She moves her body next to mine
To the rythm of this song
They call her May, some call her June
She just needs a dancer
No matter what day you call her now
I call her fancy dancer
Fancy dancer
The way she moves, I say
If you ask, she will consent

To fancy dance all day

I can't believe the negative comments here. This song gives me shivers up my spine its so good. Really love the guitar work.

Really, really bad. Musically boring, lyrically downright embarrassing!

Quite nice little ditty — nothing spectacular, but nice none the less. I like JJ — he's solid, you know what you're getting, doesn't put on any airs or try to be anything he's not.
Always admired Cale's laid back, perhaps understated guitar playing and approach to song craft. But I must confess to finding the large body of his work exceedingly bland.
Very knopfler-like playing.... That i like, the song itself is a bit bland....
Can't remember a time with a Cale tune where a) I didn't know right away that the artist was JJ Cale and b) couldn't find anything interesting about the piece. Going back as far as "Naturally". This is a sad day for me.
Pretty crummy for Mr. Cale.
...reminds me of cracker...

JJC is one of those singer/songwriters whose material seems best served by others' interpretations. That is not to say that this is bad, just that somebody else will do a killer version.
BORING!
Bad font for "J.J. Cale". Tune is good though...
BUT if he's eyeballing me like that at the gas station
its GO TIME
