I enjoyed watching their concert video around villages in Iceland. The locals showing up with their chairs and excited to see their home stars perform.

Sigur Rós must be up there as one of the bands with the most divergent listener opinions on RP. I happen to be in the love 'em camp.

Here I sit smiling like I am out of my mind, on my deck in the Rocky Mountains listening to Sigur Rod and drinking Gran Marnier. Like the film illustrated, I like Gump do not have to be smart to be happy. Indications are it may be a hindrance. RP makes me happy, thanks to Bill and Rebecca. Shalom.
I guess this depends on who you are, where you are, what you're doing and your mood at the time, but to me just now, in this place, it is getting right on my tits.🐨

From that I listened to more and more of their music - ethereal is the I would use to describe it. Totally relaxes me, sends me away from this chaotic, hateful, greedy world to a place to where I can regain sanity.

This has to be some of the most original pop-music in the rock genre that I discovered in the past decade.
Funny how such a small country of just 1/4 million people punch so much higher than their weight in several fields. They kept the British navy at bay during the Cod wars. Fishery management looks pretty damn good to me. And this music.
