My 11 year old daughter likes some of the music I like. Once she told me that a certain band I play is pretty good. I wondered what she mend. She did not know the name of the band or any of the songs. But one day driving in my car she said 'it's this band dad.' and it turned out to be Led Zeppelin. Not a bad choice. I'm proud.

This song, on my buddy Mike's killer stereo, used to make us feel like we were melting down into the bean-bag chairs after school. Well, maybe it was the weed, too. There's just something so primal in the way the bass jams so uniquely with the guitar in this, and the manic vocals, and the absolutely frickin' AMAZING drums. Melted me down, every damn time -- still does, too! RAW ESSENCE OF ROCK!

In the days of my youth, and 20 years on, they always overplayed this band. I admire them, liked most of their music (especially when high), but wanted to hear them less. 40+ years later I can finally enjoy them. Only purchased album was Physical Graffiti - was amazing with headphones on and volume cranked (no wonder I'm going deaf) but DONT SING ALONG WHILE WEARING HEADPHONES!!!

I agree that 2015 was indeed a great year for Rock, but I think that the year 2015, has now turned into the beginning of a new era with a new genre of Rock (not just Rock 'n Roll in particular), influenced by 60'as Rock, put together but some talented musicians out there, but on a path quite different from the 70's Rock. We'll see how this one goes.

I liked Zep back in the day, but there were others I listened to more. These days, though, I find myself going back to LZ more than any other group of that era.
I remember very clearly when I first heard Led Zep in '69. I had just turned 16 and was just driving along in my first car, a '55 Ford 2dr sedan. It had an AM radio of course, but I'd installed an under dash mounted FM stereo radio, to get that new-fangled FM ya know, and couple of 6x9's in the rear package shelf. Pretty cool for a broke kid in '69.
Anyway, Good Times, Bad Times actually wasn't the first Led Zep tune I heard. Like I said, I was driving along and I happened to be listening to a not particularly rock-friendly station when DJ said "I hope you're ready for this" and the first few notes of Dazed & Confused hit me like Bonzo was beating me on the ears. I just couldn't believe it! (Especially on this station.) I pulled on the side of the road and cranked the little FM unit to 11. I knew rock would never be quite the same, that I had just heard a revolutionary band of incredible power. The poor DJ came back on and said something like "Well, there you have it, by a group named Led Zepplin, which makes no sense so I guess that's why they call it Dazed and Confused." He clearly had absolutely no idea the monster he had just turned loose over the airwaves.
I bought Led Zepplin immediately and wore that sucker out!

Yup, THIS WAS THE STUFF, back in the day...and well I remember when I first became aware of Zep — Mom and Dad had taken baby bro and I to a new pizza joint, and a string of loud, hard-rocking songs started to blare from the juke-box stuffed with coins by a long-haired dude working in the heat behind the counter that made my parents and the Manager all squirm and look around with unease and suspicion. As for me, it made me yearn for more of what I'd never heard the likes of... It took me till a while later down the Road of Life to know exactly what it was I'd been turned onto that day, but ever since, and even now, I still feel as if I was born to forever love and worship it!

I can't begin to count the great albums that came out in 1969. So glad I was listening hard by then.

Thank you Dad (died 1995 this month) for being way ahead of your time when it came to stereo music appreciation. He really only wanted to hear classical music, but this is now officially a classic!

I was 17, a friend had loaned it to me, I was working as a 'management trainee' at the TD Bank and I brought the accountant, who was about 28 home for lunch and played it for him twice. It sllpoke a new language.
I was 11, and took it to school. My teacher played it!
