I'm surprised at how so many judged this song.  Perhaps they hadn't listened to the entire book and only judged the chapter about 'Sun Green' on it's own.  I love Sun Green and think the American world needs more of her kind.... The Greendale book is a reflection on the state of affairs in America.... The music in Sun Green reflects perfectly her feelings of frustration of observing corporate america slamming the country and human interests against a wall while also being persecuted for practicing what we call democracy.  Speak out and 'be the rain'!  I immensely enjoyed Neil Young's book and look forward to more adventures with Sun and Earth.

Okay I'm on the threshold of calling myself a Neil Young fan. I enjoyed Trans AND the rockabilly junk AND I have Arc but I draw the line at sound effects. leave the cat alone!
I agree about the cat. Feds killed it!!!! Sun Green Lyrics
12 minutes?? About 11 1/2 minutes too long if you ask me...
Every minute this song goes on, my rating of it drops by 1 point. It's at -7 and still going!
The end of this god-awful song will feel good as it feels good when who ever has been hitting your head with a hammer finally stops !!!
I can't stand Neil, and this is no exception. This is the worst of all of them.
How about something else from Greendale? I've heard some clips and they sound much better than this cut.

END ALREADY!!
PLEASE
Like most of the posters here, I can't deal with this tune. It has about 1 minute of value, but just goes on and on. I too like Neil, but please Bill, look at all the comments here and scratch this song from the playlist in the future, it ruins the set.
This is obviously from Neil Young's evil twin. I guess Neil thinks because he can write really good music when he wants to he can get away with this crap.
Neil, man, I appreciate what you are getting at here, I really do, but, sigh, really, trust me, the bullhorn thing doesn't work.
Love Neil Young but this piece is like nails on a blackboard !! Make it stop...please
Thanks for the opportunity to hear one (or maybe more) of Neil's songs from his new album. I like it.
END ALREADY!!
I laughed, I cried, I gave it a 1.75 (I'm a poet, don't you know it) #-o
Honestly, try to be objective here. what is the redeeming feature of this agonizing song?
Gawd, it just goes on and on and on and on... Enough.
The eclectic new works of Mr. Young that you won\'t hear on commercial radio. Awesome! Thank you RP!!!

Shades of Trans also - I won't be buying this one.
I just thank god that there are still a few geezers still making great music that I can still listen to. Neil is Neil and you either get him or you don't. I find his eccentricities quite entertaining. Hey, seeing Emmylou Harris tonight!

it\'s over. miracles do happen.

okay, I'm getting tired of it now.
Just Neil and Crazy Horse doing what they do best!
The song that never ends!
currently renting my garments.
Must agree... this song is a bit long... :-k but I do like the sound.
Yikes. Yuck!! Is this going to played daily?
currently tearing my hair out.
Neil - Put the bullhorn down and walk away slowly. What I\'ve heard of this new album is really rough and not so good. And I\'m a big Neil fan.
in a word, horrid. terrible vocals, boring guitar riffs... Neil at his modern day worst.
Nice to hear Neil jamming a long song without radio airplay concern given self-imposed restrictions/limitations preferring songs that are short. Short to better serve the illusion of more music between commercials and promos. Nice wailing on the guitar, too.
Well, I'd really like to hear the story he's trying to tell with this album, but so far the music is making that difficult. While Neil has certainly crafted his share of exceptional songs, it doesn't appear that was on the top of his list with this album. He may have gotten away in the past with going into the studio and just jamming; but unfortunately it doesn't seem like it worked on this one.
I like Neil Young, but I\'m not a huge fan. I really liked that, it seemed to be up there with the best of his (popular) stuff (popular b/c that\'s all I can compare against).
liked the parenthetical "Mr. Clean" comments, but the song was too long for my taste...
This is gonna be one of those songs that I'm gonna have to turn down or leave the room. It just keeps going and going...... pbm 8^)
good lord - can this crappy song go on any longer?
