Music is not a competition.
Good tune, but the riff has got to be lifted from AC/DC's Bad Boy Boogie (Let There Be Rock album).
Ugh. Yet another cover!!!

I understand.  That would be a TOTAL BUZZKILL!  ...what a shame!

I'd like to hear that one, too!

Chuck Berry did it even better. Stones next best but this is also good.

Funny, I was big into DM in the 80's when I was a morose teen... around the time ZZtop was hitting it big on MTV. I had this 12" remix and never made the ZZ top connection.  But now I hear it.  Music for the Masses and Violator were epic albums for me.

Rolling Stones did it so much better

Want to hear this song done properly? Try Asleep at the Wheel. This rendition really does suck - just how big WAS that truckload of valium?

Nat King Cole set the bar pretty high

I saw them once in the early 80's great fun.
Depeche Mode playing Bob Dylan with ZZ Top distorted rhythm guitar riff mashup.  Ha!

I actually quite like this...
...and I so want to support RP... I just can\'t be a party to this crap. goodnight RP
Blecch! Great song, great group, but this cover just blows dead bear. No spirit in this song, just a bunch of guys who sound like singing machines. Very flat. A better option would be to play the original Bobby Troup version, or something more creative from Depeche.
another example of why ALOT of the 80\'s music has very little value !
It\'s interesting to see that it is possible for \"Route 66\" to be done poorly.
Yuck.

Well, alrighty then. I'll give it a 9. :D
What a pile of complete doo-dar...
This a great song from a very innovative and influential band.(founded by Vincent Clark -> Erasure BTW) Music is music! That is a strength RadioParadise has...
Has a song and a musical style ever been so disastrously mismatched?

i was lucky to find this compilation on a special release by mute records (JUST SAY YES, or something like it). glad to see others are hip to this remake...way cool, daddy-yo
I\'m always surprised by how well this song works for me. Must be because the source material is so strong — and I don\'t mean \"Behind the Wheel\". 7 out of 10.
Kick ass.
