One day
I know
We'll find
A place of hope
Just hold on to me
Just hold on to me
Walk tight
One line
You're wanted
This time
There's no-one to blame
Just hold on to me
And I'm right on time
And the birds keep singing
And you're right on line
And the bells keep ringing
And the battle is won
And the planes keep winging
And I'm right on time
One day there'll be a place for us
And the girl keeps singing
I walk
I wait
With folded hands
And lonely
I stumble
I stumble
With you
I wait
To be born
Again
With love comes the day
Just hold on to me
And I'm right on time
And the birds keep singing
And you're right on line
One day there'll be a place for us
And the bells keep ringing
And the battle is won
And the planes keep winging
And I'm right on time
One day there'll be a place for us
And the girl keeps singing
Now is
The time
To follow through
To read the signs
Now the
Message is sent
Let's bring it to its final end
And I'm right on time

What a magnificent artist and wildly impressive performer. Inspiring, surprising, mesmerizing, exciting; in her words, in her music, in her collaborations, in her sources, topics, actions and stage shows. Thank you RP for including PJH in your mixes so regularly. Every single time, you make my day...

I didn't realize this was P.J. Harvey. All this time I thought I was listening to one of those bands like Elastica or Sleeper.

How did PJ get that alto sax into that little bag?
How about anything off of Rid of Me?
Short but very captivating
Over time, I have noticed

One of those albums that NEVER grows old. It's the best driving album btw. just set it on repeat and blast through those desert skies. Not to mention her other artistic endeavours with Seamus Heaney for example but I've been obsessed with Polly for 25 years.
Wow great singer
Oh how I adore this album. One of my favorites.
J'ai toujours aimé cet album. Merci à un pote de l'époque qui me l'avait fait découvrir. Sublime ! Perfect.
Polly Jean is one of my absolute all-time favourite artistes! Been a loyal fan since the early 90's and she has still yet to disappoint. Thanks for playing her songs.
one of the best things about RP is the time span of some of these pics/comments

Love this photo. PJ is very underrated,...a great musician.
If I was a rock star I would dress like her on stage. Unfortunately...I'm not.

How old was she when this pic was taken? She is a grown woman now. (And still totally HOT, IMHO)
The photo was apparently taken sometime between 2002 and 2007, according to the photographer's Flickr page. So she's at least 32 in the photo. Quite a good song, by the way.

From the silk of Patty Griffin to the sand paper of PJ. What a beautiful contrast. Thanks, Bill.

Yes, PJ Harvey is yet another talent I was unfamiliar with until RP and with each listen, I find her work more intriguing.
Okay this is a boring comment but I think PJ Harvey is one of my favorites, she totally rocks. Her newest album (white chalk) is so creepy and different, and I LOVE it! brilliant!

I love it though i think my favourite stuff is the really gritty early stuff.
Excellent tune from a terrific album. Go Polly Jean.

She's got the weapons and knows how to use them. Understated perfection.
I liked it in the first place—so much so that I bought the CD. But she's growing on me. 7 8
Awww... I stepped away for a moment and I missed this?

Slightly harder! You have no idea. Check out some of her earlier material.rKokon wrote:
It is so irritating when the high register and the low register sound like two different people and there is no good transition across the middle. Also can't stand breathy singing. Breathiness is just plain bad. That's in the high register. The low register is more talking than singing.
Maybe there are actually two singers?

The legendary Jimmy Stewart as 'Elwood P. Dowd' in "Harvey."
I so wish there were more like him.
