The energy in this track is phenomenal! Thanks again, Bill! :-3
Heading  over to the UK to see Afro Celt on Saturday!  New album coming out!
Repetitive EDM drives me nuts.

this song is a bit long but I really like this band, new style and they certainly wake you up...

No kidding!  This song should be played only on weekday mornings!

wow that was really long and dull

I started listening to RP 7 years ago because it had such a wide-ranging mix.  Hasn't changed much in that time.  We're all going to dislike some of Bill's choices, and he's given us a way to skip them.  What more do you want?

And there are people like me who long ago discovered the Afro Celts on this station (among many other artists) and have since purchased every disc they've made.  One person's annoyance is another's high quality music and RP appears to have most all of us covered.

The leprechauns are OK, Bob. Bill set the turntable to 78 by mistake.

Saw these guys perform this, standing 25 feet away in the pogoing crowd. Far King good.
Then I moved back up to the balcony...........the sound was much better.  So Far King good!.

Yes, me as well.  I believe he has produced all of their albums; one that I have he also plays with them on Volume 3: Further in Time track 3: When You're Failing.  Very nice.  Sinead O'Connor also has recorded with them as well.  I really love the mix of various traditional sounds combined together.Vol3-FIT.jpg
I can only take so much Celtic music and this is going over my limit.

Similiar musical thought as in Khachaturian's Sabre Dance.
Thanks for sharing!

A dialog-less, romanticized chase scene from Miami Vice.
(edit) OK, it started out that way....
I like it.  It's 'different'.  I have never heard any of their music before.

I am slowly realizing that I'm more interested in novelty than eclectics.

It's unfortunate that since I exclusively use Starbucks for my internet connection (and spend a vast amount of time there) that most all of the really nice/mainstream/current songs are played way too frequently by both them and RP. Spring Standards is one of many such.

better than most fake music.
Nice!
I like these guys, and I'm enjoying the world/electronica set this afternoon.  way to go, RP!

Hi, I am seeing Radiohead tonight.. In Montreux Switzerland.. cant wait.. :-)
Sounds a little like Brian "Nerve Net" Eno mind melded with them.
A little bit of a letdown after M'bifé balafon and Stay Hungry, but AC tried...

Run, run, run.....
Just about any Afro Celt music gets my tempo up. Great to hear bicycling to work or anytime I need a lift.
Badass!
Yet another group I had not heard until listening to RP and damn glad to have found it!
Endless.  And not in a good way.
Love this. The combination of musical styles is magical.

Hideous. If you want didge play Aphex Twin "Didgeridoo". If you want trance play Astral Projection, KoxBox anything but this.

I used to listen to RiCA back in the late 70s. It was an interesting approach. Is it available on CD?

Best reason for overthinking a rating I've read. I like it anyway.
Dude, ACSS is a genuine mishmash from the get-go. That's their whole premise. I don't follow how you can like their other tunes and not be ok with the meld on Big Cat. Steven_G wrote:

Nothing wrong with that, as long as they speak in the same rhythm

Like it. More fresh stuff.
This is an absolutely mesmorizing album... a must have for any world or eclectic listener. The definition of driving music, and one of the very, very few RP cuts which I've given a 10 (check out my rating dist).
Fun working music.

How about Adrian Belew's "Big Electric Cat" INSTEAD?!?!
got your wish! listen on...yeah howdy!!
This song makes me want to move! That's one driving beat and tempo. (I'd like to say something more enlightening, but the day I'm having at work has sapped my mind dry. It's moving as hard and fast as this song.)
Not usually a fan of them, but this has me buzzzzzing along at a very tedious task. Yum!
With most of their songs, I like what they get to, but don't like how long it takes to get there. Each of the sections that they establish as they build could be a bit shorter and the song would be better for it.
This song made me rev up my volume by a few notches. Bananalicious!!!
i love the blendage of cultures and genres that create the AfroCelts. get all five of their albums, well worth it.
EXCELLENT
Quite possibly my new favorite album. Amazing track. Listen to this one with a subwoofer - there are alot of great lows in there.
One of their best if you'd ask me. Super
