Once I almost saw him make his move
Brave Indian who never changes his mood
In a painting on the wall right there
Oh, how long 'til the morning wakes
Oh, how long 'til the medicine takes
Oh, Sally buffalo in the apartment just below
Just a bein' without a care
Oh, children from my brood they come and bring me food
Maybe open up a window for air
Oh, just now I smell the cornbread bake
Oh, now, now, now I feel the medicine take
Just like home
Where the stray dogs go through it all
Still right here, still just here,
Brave little friend
Well, we got a party goin' on many spirits strong
Ain't preacher just a happy to meet ya
Half a bottle 'neath the bed keep our spirits fed
My hat's off to you, to you and you
And now our brave friends, too, dancing circles through the room
And a broom and a radio and a twistin out a dos-e-do
Brand new day, the whole world's goin'
Whole room's goin' so
Just now, don't hesitate (hesitate)
Oh, taste the morning break (morning break)
Sweet, sweet, young honeycomb (honeycomb)
On, now, now, now just like home (just like home)
Oh, just like, just like home
Where the stray dogs go
Oh, oh, rest my bones
Like a fresh skipped stone to it all
Still just here, still right here,
Still just here, brave, brave friend
Bombs AND Butterflies AND THIS ARE GREAT ALBUMS
DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER ALBUMS?
I still agree (14 years later)
I always imagine that this is A Leon Russell song......
That was my guess prior to opening the tablet.

I think WP does too. I mean, they had to have had his style in mind, right?
DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER ALBUMS?
HA
i still agree! (11 years, and 1 wife later)
great songs
good playing
the LP before and after this are really good too!
BUMP!
I cannot help but wonder if you have a clue what you are talking about. I don't necessarily expect that legalization will stop illegal grows, but in the present ideal world where government and big pharma are outsiders (maybe), people get killed for accidentally hiking into grow operations, police get paid off and smugglers also bribe their way across borders, etc. If that is not a definition of corruption, please clarify. Also, if you can find a government composed of humans in a society where there is any wealth, or access to it, and where corruption is absent, please inform us!
So we agree, then.
And once cannabis becomes universally legal, in comes the government and big pharma and hey-presto! the cannabis industry becomes totally corrupt.

It's not funny at all if you look at it.
One one hand support and legalise a plant that has endless benefits (and mostly not connected with getting stoned) and on the other demonise totally corrupt industries (big phama and tobacco).

Sound like common sense to me. . . but if you buy into what the government and the lobbying corrupt industries have been feeding us for all these years then I can see how one might not be able to see how completely fucked up the current system is.
:)
I know. I was wondering what was making me so irritable!

It's all about the money, isn't it?
Tomaselli's artwork has been on the front cover of several albums. He designed the front cover artwork for Laura Cantrell's third album 'Humming by the Flowered Vine' on Matador Records. His painting, 'Gravity In Four Directions', was also used as partial cover artwork for The Magnetic Fields' album "i". He also has artwork featured in The Wilco Book, a book made by Wilco, the band. His artwork is portrayed on Phish's eleventh studio album, "Joy", which was released September 8, 2009. His art also appears on the cd by Elysian Fields "Dreams That Breathe Your Name" released in July 2004.
1) the obvious, and
2) the '90s turn to Big Pharma to solve every disease and pseudo-"condition" that people could dream up.
Reminds me of the big signs posted in some doctors' offices where medicinal marijuana is now available: "We can only prescribe marijuana for these conditions: ..." and a list that (presumably) a patient should carefully consider before discussing things with the doctor.
Isn't it funny how the same people that demonize big pharma and big tobacco and toxins of all manner want to legalize pot? I say to hell with them all.

1) What's wrong with middle-class-turned-hippies-on-drugs, anyway? (Are you sure you got your words in the correct order?)
2) What about us old farts that like this music? Are we also hippies on drugs?
3) My favorite bars in Georgia ARE cash only. We allow all kinds to happily drink themselves into oblivion while listening to WSP, Alan Jackson, the Reverend Al Green, Outkast, or the Atlanta Symphony. An Atlanta Symphony intermission is an experience in well-toned, well-dressed, well-groomed party animals — and the Symphony's bar is cash-only.
Yes, it is... still love it...
Me too!
"Obnoxious"?... come on..... its quite enjoyable
And a little Dr. John.... and Leon Russell

you could not be more wrong. in fact, your ignorant comment really pisses me off. you should really only comment on or speak of things you actually know.
I'm actually enjoying it but when i see you get so excited it does make me want to suggest that it is definitely being targeted at crack-adled lunatics who sleep in their own filth.
Something very dark, very traumatic as a child?
I wish you both continued happiness skewering through social commentary, you help us all.

I'm inclined to agree.. It seems like hippies will follow anyone around who will tolerate them.. but at least Phish had some good songs. these guys just cater to middle-class-turned-hippies-on-drugs and it is sort of pathetic when you think about it. if they hadn't dug into that niche, they'd no doubt be playing the finest cash-only bars in georgia..

Couldn't have said it better.........Wish they would wander up the coast once in awhile
for me, it's nearly the worst shit i have ever heard. it's not just bad, it hurts.

That's a good thing.
Who are the Monkeys? And for that matter, who are the Beetles?

I'm as American as a person can be
(born here, raised here, only been out of the
country a few times) ...
... and I don't care for this song either.
I always imagine that this is A Leon Russell song......
I thought so too, pretty good!
