Unfortunately, this song always reminds me of the countless 80s/90s movies that decided "yeah, we also need to use this song during the love scene!"  It pretty much turned into a filmwriting stereotype.

"Crazy Love" has featured in several movies including:
- She's Having a Baby (1988)
- Always (1989)
- Leaving Normal (1992)
- Jason's Lyric (1994)
- When a Man Loves a Woman (1994)
- Phenomenon (as covered by Aaron Neville and Robbie Robertson), (1996) starring John Travolta

Pukestocking may or may not be a word, but I won't forget it or the images it provoked, and I might just use it.  I don't know Van personally, but it is sad to think he has been likened to a pukestocking, and a little one at that. But there ya go.

Most of his music is classic. His voice, and the passion with which he shapes his music, is very enjoyable. Moondance is one that I've always enjoyed, and led me to the rest of his body of work, such as this.

What about the 2 or 300 other songs by Van that are just as good or better (if not as 'classic') as any of these three? Perhaps more than any other living artist, Van Morrison's music deserves a little bit of effort beyond just picking up on whatever the music business has decided to send out over the airwaves. By the way for a moment I thought it said Northern Ireland under Eutychus's name and I was really wondering how they could make a statement like that! But now I see it's just Mary Land.
