My music is so divine,
It can make you,
Feel a little better now!
Stay with me all night,
I rock you one time,
Come on, come on, come on.
I wanna make you,
Feel a little better now!
I don't need no money,
I don't need no wine,
To drive me insane, mess up my brain.
Come mek we dub it and we feel,
A little better now!
Come mek we rub it and we feel a little better!
This music is sweeter than wine,
It can make you,
Feel a little better now!
And it's a long, long, long, time,
We no have a little nice time.
Feel a little better now!
Come mek we dub it and we feel,
A little better now!
Come mek we rub it and we feel a little better!
Come mek we dub it and we feel,
A little better now!

...released when global warming wasn't as intense.... today's title would be "104º in the Shade."
ahh .. have seen them 1990 live at Ricks Cafe in Montego Bay, small club on the cliffs..wow!!
Ah, I thought I recognized the band that sang 96 Degrees In The Shade.
the little clicking sound is like the noise my cat makes when she's looking out the window at a chipmunk or squirrel. I looked up and laughed when I realized it was in the song...
Third World was an awesome band.
Lyrics might seem somewhat imbecile these days, yet ... a solid 7 from me.
I have been shaking my head at myself all day(1/19/21) for feeling kind of weird and anxious. Less than 24 hours from now...Not excited, just kind of stunned. "Wow, this is about to be over."
This was a nice song to hear today.

Did he really say "Come rub me tummy and feel a little better?" Love it.
I bought this CD from hearing this, and the title track, here on RP. Nice groove.
Story behind the title track is pretty grim though.

I like music with soul and/or balls. This doesn't have either.

Good song. But faulty link to Wiki and website. Are they Jamaican?

Motown meets Montego Bay?
..like this bc RP includes..the song is sorta blah, personally, but i love that it's thrown in the mix..thx!..
It makes me feel a little better
not their best - can't stand the little synth break
This makes me feel a little better. I might put this on my playlist, right after "That's the Way of the World" by Earth, Wind and FIre.
....MMmmmm..I Like I Too..a weird kinda mix
Not authentic, original reggae, but not bad!

That's for sure! I think that many of the listeners can't hear this in its historical context. Third World is a sweet mix of Reggae and American R&B. Different than a hard reggae band.

Fabulous!
Thanks a lot, Bill!

I'm not one to make immature comments, but I wonder why no one else has, about the lyrics I mean...just goes to show the classiness of this joint.
I think I remember hearing these guys on my 3 day cruise in Mexico.
Grew up listening to this! Still have it on vinyl. Older Third World is some of the most sophisticated Reggae out there.
Jah Glory, and 96' in the shade might be better tracks to pick off this album. This is still a good groove though. Thanks Bill!

feelin a third better now world
Why does this remind me of "Little Runnaway?"
Got a good groove going. War comes to mind. At first I though that this may have been an influence on War, but it came a few years after. Still, not reaching for the volume control either way. Booker T following this is a good touch (as usual), Bill. Thanks!
This sounds like (Continental U.S.) ghetto reggae, as heard on the Grammy Awards and played by some Caribbean wannabes.
Dread without the locks.
Dread without the locks.
Sounds like Reggae in Zappa style without lyrics worth listening to.

Why the hate for old school reggie music? This stuff definitely evokes a wonderful emotion for me. And that's the point of music and RP in the first place. But, apparently, it's not for everyone.
ps: I know how to spell reggae

Isn't this the Reggae 3 pre-set on a Casio keyboard?
much like nudity... there's GOOD reggae and BAD reggae. personally, i think this is the latter.
Reggae and crappy synth... two horrible tastes that taste horrible together!!
muito ben. obrigado a RP
This stuff is formative for me.
Been listening to this kind of thing since I was ten. I love the old style. The eternal baseline, the little noises in the background.
Great

Well...it's probably possible, but no need to worry about that right now. :D/

What a great album this is. I never liked reggae \'til I heard this. Now I get it. A great window into a vital style.
I like it
But I feel a little better now.
Feel a little better now.
Just give me Robitussin, feel a little better now.
