As the first real snow storm of the season starts making its moves down the range, hearing this song makes me realize how much I miss living by the sea! How I miss my two years in Yoshida-cho and eight in Noto Hanto... My students and I used to have such fun at Shizunami Beach and Omaezaki in Shizuoka... There were always soft, rolling waves at Shizunami (the name means Quiet Waves), and at the other extreme, there were some big waves at Omaezaki, and windsurfing championships were held there... My ex- and I used to enjoy beach picnics all along the way between Nanao and Wajima, Ishikawa, on the sheltered coast of the Sea of Japan, where there were the most spectacular rock formations in an infinite array of tranquil bays with steep, thickly forested bamboo- and cedar-clad mountains behind. Since time is fleeting, I'm glad those idyllic moments left such lasting impressions on me, for it makes me proud to think that I must have been truly mindful and present in each of them.. And may I always be so!  Amen.  Just like Nature, Radio Paradise is so often my favorite realm of recreation and meditation!

This song was my introduction to Morcheeba, twenty-five years ago, and thence to trip-hop. It never gets stale. Definite 10 from me.

I know the sentiment (both furniture and music-wise)! 

I always liked this track by Morcheeba, one of a few that my (now long time ago ex) girlfriend brought to our relationship (along with Mazzy Star, Portishead, etc.) and thankfully I ripped all those CDs for her/me (and OMG I found out quick how much I HATED iTunes and Apple in general) and we partied hardy in the Seattle UDist (Go DAWGS!) - I think I have some great memories from those days - just need to clear the mental cobwebs and scrape the resin off my neurotransmitters ;-)

**EDIT** After all these years, it finally dawned on me what sounded familiar about this tune.  For me, it has a total Summertime vibe to it.  Have I asked for more Sam Cooke yet?  Long Live RP!!

Concur with the previous five comments. (BTW, this is one of my first "Radio Paradise Favorites" playlist additions; it's not in my "Chill Set" because that one has minimal percussion—although Morcheeba is there— but this is still great after all these years.)

Definitely the same genre, however this album was released Mar 1998.  Air's "Playground Love" came out Feb 2000, and Zero 7's first album came out June 2001.
