Sounds like some influence came from ELO. One song is definitely similar
Sometimes I think I've heard too much Black Keys. I then realize I was wrong. These guys rock!

Used to love these guys. New -ish retro sound. Now it's all the same to me. Bleh.
This song is the perfect soundtrack in my mind to being in the big city on a hot summer evening.
Love these guys. They had like one album I didn't like (Turn Blue) and I have neglected them a little since. Must be corrected.

Like this one more than most of their other tunes I've heard. ELO comment noted and perhaps that has something to do with it. A simple fun sound

14 plays during the last 30 days? I've noticed this with a few other songs too. I suspect the RP format is changing to include an emphasis on "today's hits". Which is ok.
Bill has also sounded fresher and more engaged at the mike in the past few months too, so I guess there's an effort alive to keep RP relevant and popular.

The singing/background vocals for 'It ain't over (Ooh) is similar to ELO's "All Over The World"
I dig their wild sound; so retro it seems brand new... The guitar is often as satisfyingly fuzzy and creatively expressive as Jorma K's back in the day! The Frank Zappa "Joe's Garage"-style cover pic they're rocking here's cool, too! They seem to be at an artistic peak!
