Heavy feels in this one. One of my all-time favorites of this band and of Tweeds

First I heard this one. Now on my list to buy when I'm back in Canada.
I too saw Jeff solo back in Jan 2014, Santa Barbara. I was mesmerized, great show. Lyrics are so much more meaningful when dealt acoustic. Woody Guthrie lives on.
Well I lucked in tonight with RP - perfectly matching my mood, I mean perfectly! Doesn't happen so often, but when it does, it's such a thrill. I guess that's why.

From what might be my favorite Wilco album - this was the first album of theirs that I bought and listened to.

This song reminds me of another song. Same chords. Singing reminds of that singer, your know what's his name? I can't put my finger on it as I heard it a long time ago. I do remember the b string in the guitar was in tune. That's different here.

Someone Else's Song... yep, I'm hearing Willie's "Blue Eyes Cryin in the Rain". Interesting to read the connections listeners have made to other songs as well, all valid. If Wilco was going for familiarity on this one, they nailed it.

That's funny b/c it was the first music my (now) wife introduced me to from her collection, and it did the same for me. That was 6 years ago. I was 21 and was stuck in the 60's/70's. I still love that music, but now I see that there is (some) good music being made today. This album holds a special place in my heart, and I would agree that it's one of the best from the 90's. Absolutely. I even think of it as one of the strongest American rock albums ever. For me the brilliance is in their homage to their musical influences. Each song seems styled after an influence, yet the sound is still Wilco, not regurgitated or rehashed at all. It's one of those albums with endless depth.
i'm giving it a nine because no one else did - and they deserve it.....

God I love Wilco. This guy is so pure to his thoughts. The first album I bought of their's and still my favorite. Great album to listen to driving in the country (if you're near it). Ah, gotta go up to the country tomorrow. Guess what's in the dash? Yup.
