Give me release
Witness me
I am outside
Give me peace

Heaven holds a sense of wonder
And I wanted to believe
That I'd get caught up
When the rage in me subsides

Passion chokes the flower
'Til she cries no more
Possessing all the beauty
Hungry still for more

Heaven holds a sense of wonder
And I wanted to believe
That I'd get caught up
When the rage in me subsides

In this white wave
I am sinking
In this silence
In this white wave
In this silence
I believe

I can't help this longing
Comfort me
I can't hold it all in
If you won't let me

Heaven holds a sense of wonder
And I wanted to believe
That I'd get caught up
When the rage in me subsides

In this white wave
I am sinking
In this silence
In this white wave
In this silence
I believe

I have seen you
In this white wave
You are silent
You are breathing
In this white wave
I am free

Touches the soul
Between her, Enigma, and other artists, the 1990s seem to be a time when artists were trying to put old Catholic chants into everything.
8 -> 9
I feel there is a Sarah M. revival here !

Add  nine to that zero = 9!
this is beautifully haunting.
Transcendental! Just gorgeous 🎶
Bumped this from a 7 up to a 9. It’s such an exquisite piece of music! Beautiful mix & arrangement.

I’ve loved it from the first listen many years ago.

Never heard of Delerium before RP.  What an amazing gift!! TY, Willuam, (Rebecca), et. al. Feeling SO MUCH gratitude for you — as well as for my RP world family!! ❤️❤️

This record blew my mind when it first came out. I was a traveling sales rep and posting 30k plus miles a year, I swear I did not take this CD out of my player for like 2 months...I have no idea how many listens...150-200 in a row? I never tire of it!

Music addiction, the best kind! And RP is the dealer.
A home town band but Sarah sells this one!
Love this song in the base jump sequence of Warren Miller's 'Cold Fusion' 2001
Enigma meets Moby...

I give you zero

This is wonderful trance dance music.. Strong steady bottom end and  simple percussion and very light melody line and more ethereal vocals.. Amazing never heard anything like it that I liked. But I would consider dancing to it. No offence..  I mean someone could dance a very fun creative milonga (one of the tango trio) to  this... Sara - I'm a hug fan, she brilliant!
Sarah can do no wrong, in my book.

Too bad they misspelled it. Maybe they were delirious when they picked their band name? Delirium can happen because of other events (e.g., anesthesia) too.
I fell in love with my wife to this song.  Special memories.

Don't bother.  Gifs are the bane of this site (well, for me at least).

Could Sarah ever be a wrong choice?

OP may have been referring to Delirium tremens (aka DTs which is NOT Detoxing, though that's when it happens) which is very much related to alcohol withdrawals.

Alcohol is amazing dangerous, and unbelievable to me how the US made weed illegal for so long when it's alcohol that's WAY more dangerous....anyways...good song to listen to while stoned!  LLRP!!

All their albums were great.
This particular mix is really naive-sounding 90's electronica new age,  yeah, but that vocal!

What are you referencing Phatty?  This song has been around for at LEAST 18 years!!  Maybe someone else is sampling their stuff and that makes you think this is not the original.  Of course, Delerium is also sampling the chant and dark, monastic sounds so, guess I need more info on what in particular you are booing.

Probably confusion from Sarah releasing a non-EDM version the very next year after this one was released.
This one is full of nostalgia for me. Love it :)

I assure you, you are mistaken and in more than one regard. There are no cheap Casios in this song, and it has not been ruined.

 Sarah McLachlan is a GOD.

What a voice!
what a great morning. lively rockin numbers meandering to All My Tears and now this. smashing.
The Latin chants have a power, they really do! and with the way that Sarah sings, English does, too! Celebrate the Celtic elevation of it!
Don't understand the occasional grief leveled at this. Beautiful vibe, instrumental balance and journey through genres. Don't overthink it.

It's not the gregorian chant that hasn't aged well (they are sublime and would fit in rather nicely on RP I think) it's the rather cheap EDM beats beneath it which lack longevity.
Sarah's voice is perfect for this music.

...it works for me.
I don't really care for choral music. But when I was a kid in NYC in the 60's we sang in a church choir. Every year, EVERY episcopal choir in the greater New York area would sing together one day together in the Cathedral in upper Manhattan. The decay time from the last note in that vast space seemed to take forever. Even for an atheist like me, it was a wonderment. Every little brat in our choir was awe struck.
The worst song ever heard.

That comment could be the punchline to a comic panel from The New Yorker.  I'm not sure how many 1,200-year-old musical forms have aged well.

Ripping The Tallis Scholars, Sarum Chant "Missa in gallicantu" to FLAC while this plays. Wouldn't I be popular if I could sneak that into the play list.
Sade, dis-moi

10 should mean Goddesslike here.
There are quite a few versions of this amazing track out there, some much harder and darker than this mix.  Great stuff.  9.

The rest of this CD is also good, if you like this track. Brooding, dark, pulsing ambient.

Will always remind me of dancing in goth clubs in the 90s...

Right song at the right time...awesomely haunting!
I like her voice.
Don't like her voice.
Matt Darey remix is the one if you like dance music.

Solution: move 8 time zones away from where you currently live.  Marrakech?  Honolulu?  (I do not recommend King Abdullah Economic City.)
i LOVE her voice.  wish she would do things more challenging like this instead of stuff like "arms of the angels."  i think she has much better range than florence who tends to yell a lot (even though she does have a good voice, also).
still love this with the chanting
nice job sarah
will buy
Au contraire.  The Gregorian chant has aged well for thousands of years, and has parallels in many cultures. It's still a powerful genre when done properly.

Seems an appropriate setting for Ms. McLachlan's winding and warbling voice, too.  (They could lose the silly dance-club bass, though.)

Edit:  Must be an intentional misspelling in the band's name; no record label's gonna let it go out without a QC check are they?

Magnificent.  Her music has been with me during some of the most intense times of my life.  Thanks Sarah.  And thanks to RP.

yes, you can get it for free by ringing Delerium and their management and asking them to ignore RIAA guidelines by taking some money from Sarah McL by donating the procedes of the song directly to you.  That way you get your money back.    However you will need to pay for the song legitimately first before getting in touch.
Sorry for my bad Portugese I'm Welsh.

It's actually from Delerium's 1997 album KARMA. The song suddenly became popular a few years after that, due to a DJ Tiesto remix.
Her voice is having sex with my ears.
Great tune! Love the haunting undertone. Sarah has a beautiful and unique voice.
If this is indeed from the Bounce soundtrack than it would have been released in 2000. The one of many in an unfortunately long string of bad Ben Affleck movies.

Always loved this mix.... reminds me of my high school days.

I imagine Ms. McLachlan, upon first hearing this rendition of her song, realized she could happily retire.  I think this is her best.
Sarah can do no wrong...even makes this one interesting...{#Chillpill}

Thanks Tim_in_N_FL for that graphic image.

Nobody wants to charge substantive use-fees and budgets are being cut.  Why not jazz up our parks?  Too funny.

Her voice always reminds me to ask:  why is there no Laura Nyro on RP?
This is pretty wild, so Red Hot Chili Peppers lifted this song for Califonia, I didn't know they listened to this soft music!{#Lol}
