Oh, so nice! I just got this CD for my birthday (yeah, I'd still hardcopy) but haven't had time to listen to it yet. This gets me excited to do so :)
Sometimes these guys have just a touch too much tejano for me to really enjoy them...I don't have an ear for it and having lived in SoCal for a spell, it kind of makes me grimace...

I agree -- saw them at Battery Park NY in 2004-ish. The trumpets sounded like the voice of the brilliant sunshine! I'd say it was the best outdoor concert I've ever attended, in terms of sound quality and fullness. It was transporting in joyfulness!
