She is half-sister to Norah Jones. Both supremely talented and have recorded together.

After having studied Indian Classical music in college (back in the '60s), Anoushka Shankar is a welcome treat from the more drum-intensive music. Tabla players are so fluid with the music, unlike formulaic rock drummers.
