And the backs of my eyes hum with things I've never done
Sheets are swaying from an old clothesline
Like a row of captured ghosts over old dead grass
Was never much, but we've made the most
Welcome home
Ships are launching from my chest
Some have names but most do not
If you find one, please let me know what piece I've lost
Peel the scars from off my back
I don't need them anymore
You can throw them out or keep them in your mason jars
I've come home
All my nightmares escape my head
Bar the door, please don't let them in
You were never supposed to leave
Now my head's splitting at the seams
And I don't know if I can
Here, beneath my lungs
I feel your thumbs
Press into my skin again

this is RP
how, where, why, what, HOW??
a proper mindf***, even though only for a second
nope. another over 45 who loves this.
Way over 45 over here.
And I will likely always be a fan.
Ghost album is especially gorgeous and haunted.
If you are over 45 you probably don't care much for this tune
Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh, the type of comment people love to answer.
I lost a son 3 years ago, and music is one of the few things that help me to keep him alive. I love the music he used to listen (although most of them are not played on RP i admit).
No matter what age we have, music is good music if we enjoy listening it.

This is the best song on the album, by far.
I've noticed RP has a knack for playing the best song(s) on the album. While RP has introduced me to many great new bands, I have sometimes found the rest of the music isn't quite as good as what gets played on RP. Cheers and thanks to Bill and Rebecca for somehow continuing to find (and play) excellent music.
This is the best song on the album, by far.
Yeah - sadly, the rest of the album isn't of the same caliber.
Of course, when this song came out I was 35....
I'm another over 45 who really likes this. Can anyone weigh in on the album? (Yes, I'm over 45 and still see huge value in listening to full albums, as well as supporting artists by purchasing their music rather than listening to Spotify -- though I bet there are plenty of under 45s who may also not care for Spotify if you're here listening to RP).

What a misguided, asshole thing to say.
This one is cool. Always catches and holds my ear.
Hope you've got plans for lots more years at the sound panel Bill. I've got lots more years of listenin' in me and there ain't nothin' else out there quite like RP.
Truer words were never spoken... and I'm 67.
Well, I'm 60. For me listening to RP is kind of like when my sons and I listen to music. We take turns putting on "our" music for each other. And of course we try to one - up each other with the next track. There's also an element of, "If you like that song, you might like this one". I try to appreciate it all at some level and mostly it's about spending time getting to know each other through "our" music. Sometimes I'm surprised by old songs they like and I'm surprised to find that their picks are pretty amazing. You might find a track I've heard a million times to be a new discovery you just have to have in your life. It's all good. That's probably why we're both here. And who doesn't like a good Pilsenaaa? Cheers.
I am 67 and love this song.
The photo of Radical Face reminds me strongly of the Brewmaster where I get my 4 doz. liter batches.
Except he doesn't sing, but he does make wicked suitcase speakers to fit on the back of your fixie.

And, at 64, I think it's fine...

I passed 45 a long time ago and I think this is a great tune.
Not all old geezers should be compartmentalized into the same cubby hole. (although a lot of my friends only listen to classic rock, as that is what they grew up with).
I'll be 66 my next around the sun.
You can take that "Classic Schlock" and put it away forever as far as I'm concerned.
Hearing the same tunes over and over that I heard since they came out is not for me.
I know what the next song will be within three choices when the DJ announces "Up next we'll hear something from Pink Floyd."
How about some kind of album cut that wasn't played to death?
Give me those "Deep Cuts" or fresh Indie any day!
Um, wrong again.

Today i look back with happines and tears in my eyes :')
This peace is awesome and gets you in the depths of your soul!
All my nightmares escape my head
Bar the door, please don’t let them in
You were never supposed to leave
Now my head’s splitting at the seams
And I don’t know if I can
I’d pay for a segue class from Bill.
I think he's too smart to ride one of those contraptions.
Or, just keep listening to RP.
Bill, do you have a PhD in segues?

Somebody's been listening to Lindsey Buckingham :)
very nice
Nevertheless the song lyrics are rather dark.
Yes... it's unfortunate, isn't it? (That we have to endure a similar vocal intonation.)

Sounds like you had a busy day at Kindergarten!
I couldn't have said it better!! Soar, and then glide and glide......
My thoughts, exactly.
Yep, he has excellent taste.
True, at least part of the time.

This, from one who as of this writing has given ratings of 10 to four Neil Young songs...

I hear it too.
"He can't help it - it comes standard with the heavy beard and wool ski cap. "
Damnit, 2 out of three disqualifies me then.

"keep them in your mason jars"
"you were never supposed to leave"
wow
This is from before the era of songs featuring the word "Hey" sung by an entire class of children (e.g. the horrid Of Monsters And Men). Here, it's genuine and awesome.
True words.
The lyrics link is auto-generated, as are the other links, so it doesn't always take you to the song lyrics. Thus it's a nice service for other listeners to copy the lyrics to the song board. A 'thank you' would be more apt than an admonition.
oops, I did not know that so you're right. pardon me?
Bought it last week and found it to be very listenable. So far no other tracks have hooked me like this one, but there's nothing I would remove either.
They slightly remind me of Cloud Cult.
Save your energy!

2. Not sure Burrhus Frederic was all that much of a party animal, Lazarus.
3. "Spiced Okra juice"...?
I would like to hear some song of the new "CROZ" album by DAVID CROSBY - his first in 20 yers!
EXELLENT!!
Well there is clapping in both songs.
it is more than just that
Save your energy!
Relax (and stop shouting).

Is the singer being welcomed home from war? Of course that's gruesome -- it always has been and always will be -- and might explain the vivid lyrics.
(Unless you were labeling the entire listening experience as "gruesome".)
Well there is clapping in both songs.
In fact, they used a lot of good songs in that beautiful video log.
It's also from the soundtrack of "Humboldt County".

This song be better than spiced okra juice... love it...

I'm over 45 and I liked it so much I bought the album.
