Healing holy man, once upon a time
He lived for his wife up until the crime

Hunting high and low to seek revenge
Brand new moral code, got made reluctant renegade
Leaving empty souls when he avenged
Evil spirits flowed he drank the blood like lemonade

Cozy campfire crowd with a case of wine
And feeling fine
Bounty hunter now and they'd crossed the line
Crossed that line

Hunting high and low to seek revenge
Brand new moral code got made reluctant renegade
Leaving empty souls when he avenged
Evil spirits flowed he drank the blood like lemonade

In a border town, down in Mexico
They let him go
Law and order now 'cause he runs the show
So now you know

Hunting high and low, exact revenge
Brand new moral code got made reluctant renegade
Leaving empty souls when he avenged
Evil spirits flow he drank the blood like lemonade

Hunting high and low, exact revenge
Brand new moral code got made reluctant renegade
Leaving empty souls when he avenged
Evil spirits flow he drank the blood like lemonade

He drank the blood like lemonade
He drank the blood like lemonade
He drank the blood like lemonade

Skye is my favorite voice.
Not my favorite singer (Floor Jansen is the holder of that) but certainly that voice just does something for me.

Love the simple 4 note keyboard riff. Simple seasonings like a dash of salt and pepper on an omelets.

Evil spirits flowed
He drank the Bud Light lemonade

Enya followed by Skye.  LLRP
The curse of the most driven vampire hunters is that, to kill more vampires than one might in a single lifespan, there is a very easily-accessed form of immortality readily available.

And if one finds that more than a single lifetime is needed to Finish the Job, then one might find themselves permanently separated from their loved ones lost in order to see their revenge through to its end. =/

Just them four chords though innit. You know the ones. Like bread with nothing on it. Which can be ok if it's really fresh. I'm off to do a mashup with Boulevard of Broken Dreams. It won't get any more tasty.

Judging the quality of a song by the number of chords used in it seems like a pretty trivial evaluation.  For one thing, the majority of popular songs and beloved classics have only three or four chords.
This song's got a good groove - it seems that was what they were going for.
For what it's worth, this song is not the notorious "four chord" progression that you seem to be hinting at.

Maybe it was just strawberry lemonade some kids brought to the Halloween party.

Since they came out, they were an instant click with me. And continue to do so

A fine comment from a Grammarcop, but lyrical context makes me believe he drank blood as if it were lemonade.

Not sure what incident would drive a healing holy man to extract revenge, however.  Only that "he lived for his wife up until the crime."
great way to start out my morning. Thank you!
Heard this on the Man On The Moon episode of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy. It reminded me how much I enjoy it.

Creepy? Crappy more like, it is a shite video and does not fit the song at all, sorry I do not understand what's creepy about it. {#Headache}

Great melody, vocals, production.............could the lyrics be ANY darker.....good grief!
The official video is cool and creepy. As is the song. 9 from the spooked Nottingham jury.

Second Morcheeba song of the day here on RP, and that's a good thing, I think.
Over this song.

I like Morcheeba and I like this one, but I think they're starting to pilfer from themselves. The chorus here shares quite a bit of tune and beat DNA with their song Blindfold. Have a listen.
This song is starting to get my attention after hearing it several times here.
Is there a replay button here? Man, I love this song.

Yup, it is decent, but a bit thin, kinda like lemonade might feel in place of blood.
Check out Skye's new(?) work, "Back to Now"  it is breathtaking.

I hate it when I have to agree with you, but I do....this time.
Heard this in Barcelona.  Got my attention because it wasn't in Spanish.
Oddly appealing giving the gruesome subject matter {#Cheers}
This takes a while to get going. The vocals and melody are rough in the beginning. Then, flows like bloody lemonade.
Oh boy! I love this tune...so seamless yet poignant at the same time. BLISS.

Sounds like a good song for the new series Revolution!
Looking forward to hearing more of the 20 tracks in the RP library Bill.  I just LOVE Morcheeba.  8>9 {#Yes}

I was certain this was "What It's Like" by Everlast when this came on. Beat is nearly identical.
Not bad!
Pure genius.

First I've heard this but I luv it already. Not generally one to give out 8's quickly but this has my toes tapping!

Beautiful, seamless transition from Peter Gabriel to Morcheeba. Another reason I love RP the most!

What exactly does it do to a feller?  Probably the same thing Grace Slick (who this singer sounds like) did to me in the late 60s.
Singer sounds like 60s era Grace Slick.  That's a good thing!
please give us moreMorcheeba!!
i love this album cover!
Bought this album based on hearing this track here.  It's a very good album.  More tracks should get play here, especially "Even Though" and "Recipe For Disaster" (my personal favorite).

If Neil Young was younger and a bit more hip...cross him with a bit of 'Travis' and you got this sound! Love it...!

Hey Stingray, something we can agree on!  Puts "Time Waits For No One" to shame.

Reminds me of the early cartoon Andy Borowitz says he drew—-Man kneeling to take the Eucharist: "Can I have fries with that?" lol

The "Cheeb" is growing on me. Like pretty warts.

SENSUAL! > 8+

PS
Today is only Tuesday - shit!
3 more days and I will let Morcheeba rotate.

They should totally put this song on the upcoming season of True Blood.  I mean, there's even a thread about how the main character (Sookie) has blood that tastes like "sunshine".

Yep, I could just hear this song on the TB soundtrack. A shame that, over this side of the Pond, TB's been transferred to pay satellite channels (thanks a feckin' bundle, Rupert) so us non-satellite plebs can no longer watch it. A shame, as I really liked the back to basics TB take on vampirism: sex, blood and violence, as it should be, none of this poncey McVampire 'new chastity' Stephanie Meyer bollox.
