We can't play this game anymore
But can we still be friends?
Things just can't go on like before
But can we still be friends?
We had something to learn
Now it's time for the wheel to turn
Grains of sand, one by one
Before you know it, all gone

Let's admit we made a mistake
But can we still be friends?
Heartbreak's never easy to take
But can we still be friends?
It's a strange, sad affair
Sometimes seems like we just don't care
Don't waste time feeling hurt
We've been through hell together

(La la lala la la lalala
Can we still be friends?)
Can we still get together sometime
(La la lala la la lalala
Can we still be friends?)
You know life will still go on and on and on

We awoke from our dream
Things are not always what they seem
Memories linger on
It's like a sweet, sad old song

I think this was his last ok album.  I liked his Nazz stuff.  Loved his Something/Anything?, A Wizard/A True Star, Todd, Utopia (or first Utopia album),  & Another Live.  After that it was sort of downhill.  Or something.  Still: at his peak, a monumental talent.

Love Todd.  First time I've heard any Todd here.

Nice track, I guess like lot's of tunes, you had to be there.

Or its a Cleveland, Philly thing.

Ha ha ha! That was hilarious!
Wow. Why all the hate on Todd? I love this guy—and this album is really good. Maybe you guys need to listen to this side-by-side with other singer/sonwriter stuff of its time. Todd was doing things musically that no one had even thought of yet.

As someone else mentioned, he is on tour. Cleveland Thursday night, Chicago Friday night.
Can anyone tell me how to enter a negative number in the ratings?
This songs needs one.
He is good, but this is probably one of his worst songs.

Oh, dear lord, no.
This is THE worst thing I've ever heard on RP.
Well, maybe not as bad as Joanna Newsom the harp girl.
Bill, seriously.  This is what it felt like in my head when I insisted on sitting up with my head pointed in the middle of the Gravatron when I was 11.

Never, ever again.  Please.

The Be Good Tanya's I think are worse -

i'm gonna have to agree with you on this
Runt is one of the most talented musicians + producers in the history of music.
Check it out.
This song is terrible.  I kind of like the chimey keyboard bits.  But the singing is like volgon poetry.
Ung.  That's 2 awful tracks today on RP.  Bill, you're slipping!

Sounds great, but Robert Palmer will forever be singing this in my head.
