Thanks, RP! I've always loved the awesome, blissfully fuzzed-out guitar sound of this band. The percussion is nicely fluid. The foundational import of the jammy bass is paramount, as well, in my opinion. To me, the singer's passion and talent are decidedly next-level! I await their next burst of creativity!

In 1998 I achieved a bucket-list item and saw Bauhaus in concert in Chicago. Peter Murphy's voice, as usual, was transcendent. Billy Corgan, being a local Chicago guy, must have been a fan and was allowed to come out on stage and sing a song. As I heard the two voices, virtually side-by-side, I couldn't help but compare his voice to Peter Murphy's.  I wasn't quite a fan of Billy Corgan and definitely was less so after hearing him sing next to a true master. As a positive, 
it's 2022 as I write this, and Bauhaus is now back on tour! : )

Oh, I get it now!  It's about a Cinderella team in March Madness who earned a #3 seed and Chevy is using this song to promote their new Silversun pickup along with a new shoe product but they spelled Converse incorrectly.

Gave this a 10, really digging the sound they have come back with. Undoubtedly Silversun Pickups but more subdued and matured.

Guitar and drums work perfectly in this piece. From what I have heard so far the rest of the album is just as good.

Intelligent design?  Really?  That seems more plausible than accepting your role as an insignificant, uncomprehending blip on the face of existence?  Perhaps to expect total understanding is just totally unreasonable.  Certainly to expect some form of immortality seems to border on insane when everything we witness says we are impermanent like everything else.  It needn't be a burden to think like this either.  For me and most people I know it gives reason to embrace life specifically because of its brief and fleeting nature.

Also coming back on point - another awesome song by this band.

I welcome your opinion, obviously diametrically opposed to Zepher's.
As an agnostic, I am fascinated by both arguments, while not fully convinced of either.
If anything I lean a little more toward the WonderLizard side of the fence.
There are just a few too many things about creationism (not to mention the whole Noah's ark thing) that are tough to accept.

Wow, I remember when these guys used to suck. Oh. That was *now* Stripped-down, lean rock doesn't have to be this threadbare and riddled with misery.

So, do you realize that if Jesus had said; "As my Father took a rib from Adam to create Eve and give her everlasting life in Eden, I give you this rib as a symbol of my body that you might have everlasting live in Heaven."  And then if he'd said; "Take this golden elixir as a symbol of the gilded life you will receive as a reward in Heaven."  We'd all be having BBQ Ribs and Beer in church...  It'd be more like a tailgate party.  Attendance would be way up!

If it's a collective soul ripoff, they've done a great deal better than that band in terms of sounding damn good.

Waaaaay better than the aforementioned band, in my opinion - vocals better, guitar better, lyrics better, band name cooler, artwork on albums better, just ... better.

was quietly ignoring this track but glanced at the corgin references.( i truly hated "moth with chewing gum strings" somebody kill that song! )and you definitely can hear some similarity between the two groups...kinda sorta like a juvenile billy c before the eardrum destroying screeching began...guilty pleasure..i love 2 hate that guy.....then the sob releases Oceania which is now one of my favorite releases of the past couple yrs...i lose again

I don't think SSPU has the ego problem of Billy Corgan.  I love my old Pumpkins, can't stand the current version of Billy.
