Everything
On our own
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life
Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads
I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life
All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
So, in other words, their music is still growing on you.
🤣😂🤣
Honestly, I'm not because they adopt a comparative or ranking approach to music. I like mint ice cream. I like chicken vindaloo. His rant is like yelling that I shouldn't like mint ice cream because chicken vindaloo has much more character.
Like what you like. Don't like what you don't like. But I see no point in taking time to denigrate any music, unless you're paid to be a media critic (and you have the qualifications to do so).
You are being too generous to media critics. I wouldn't exclude them - they don't know my mind any better than other assholes do.

Enough of this overplayed whiner already!
Lots of them winers out there, I prefer a Nebbiolo myself!
wow.. is this what we've become - snowpatrol as a favourite band appalls me, for anyone to even consider listening to their utter drivel genuinely depresses me. why are these kinds of bands our musical yardstick? there is so much incredible music out there written by bands and ppl who are so genuinely talented, creative and original, why are we not listening to them and giving them our time and our support and our money? everytime this piece of **** band gets played on the radio another much more deserving band misses out. and everytime we go to their concerts or buy their horseshit albums we support mediocrity and deny it to the many creative, talented and hardworking artists who work and play their arses off - not for money or fame or recognition - but for the music itself. and what happens when up and coming musicians and fans of music hear nothing but this kind of **** day in day out..? think about it.. we all lose so much by listening to this nonense, it hurts us all and robs us of the awe and satisfaction and appreciation of truly great music. it dumbs us down and helps turn us into a 'plantation' for commercial, brain-numbing, shallow, watered down shite. and to those who know better it makes us look ******* stupid. im sorry, this is an elitist thing to say but i cant take anyone who likes this kind of music seriously as a person. not only do i resent you for supporting undeserving turds to the detriment of the bands and music i love and support - you're now suspect and i judge you instantly as irrational, shallow, boring, tasteless and stupid. and im rarely proven wrong, stupid people like stupid music and snowpatrol is more than stupid, theyre like a bad joke that has gone way way too far.
Well at least you have a band named after you - Disturbed!
I thought using LAY was fine and that it was a song written by a dog and a chicken, so Chasing Cars and using inappropriate verbs seemed fine. Humans are so strange.
Who am I to argue?

Maybe your intemperate rant would have more weight if you'd be kind enough to tell us what artist or band you think is worthy of listening to? I'm genuinely interested.
I vote for KISS.

settle. there is a lot more to get upset about than Snow Patrol. they're fine.
No talking down. Everyone has feelings about stuff, and music should evoke the most passionate. I hope I have the freedom to get all bent out of shape here, what's music for if not that?
An itemized response:
1. This is the same website that will form a pitchfork-and-torches mob for anyone who rates a Beatles song anything less than an 8 or expresses a sentiment other than nominating John Lennon for sainthood.
2. There is a lot more to get upset about than Snow Patrol. And Snow Patrol is indeed "fine." I see nothing incorrect about the statement.
3. Music taste is subjective, but there's way worse offenders in music than Snow Patrol. Snow Patrol is not the death of music (I'd argue that it's Pitbull, but that's another discussion). If it was, we wouldn't have survived The Monkees, Extreme, John Mayer, or Nickelback.
