Wine spills in my blood
And your blood spills in my soul
You have no control
You have no control
Dead angels speak to me sometimes
Giving me advice that I should hear
You are what I'm looking for
Because you're close, because you're near
Wine spills in my blood tonight
And blood spills in my mouth
You have what I'm looking for
Oh, you are just pretend
Dead angels speak to me sometimes
Giving me advice that I should hear

Because you're close, because you're near

I bet "VAST" came before 'Visual Audio etc' in the opposite of the way that say Big Audio Dynamite came up with theirs.
Former drummer in 'Ten O'Clock In The Afternoon', 'In Transit', 'As It Happens', 'Four Into One', 'Immoral', and 'WildRose'
retired (disillusioned).
(P.S. i forgot 'Tin Fish' - the damn fools who let me sing)
and Stone Temple Pilots.

VAST is one of the FEW bands that I like almost every single song from. Dead Angels is actually one of the songs on a really good album that has a minor impact. There are many (many) more "sit up and take notice" songs from this band.
It may be just me, but the vocals sound a tad like Thom Yorke.
Who the hell lets their drummer sing!?

And I just noticed (and not too surprised) to see Elektra records as the label for this group...I'll need to read up on WHY the label terminated the group in 2002 though...
I really don't like this song. Just awful. I can't believe it is even being played on RP.

Gee Wally, this is pretty neat!
"Lost" is my favorite.
I quite enjoy VAST, but I'd rather hear Blown Away or Blue. This tune hasn't quite grown on me the way some of their other material has.

Polly Jean should do a cover of this, a bucket of her edge would spank this tune to life.
Catchy, hip tune. Good stuff. I particularly like the harmonies and structure. Well-crafted is very very often a good thing. It is in this case.

What is wrong with carefully crafting excellent music, I assume that all the masters did just that. I admit this is not punk music(which is equally good) or head banger(which has it's hits), but you can't say that this music is not good. Who really cares how it was created.
Great song. I would love to hear more from this band.
Strangely seductive and wonderfully awesome.
This is new to me. Interesting stuff. I like it.
hauntingly familiar....is this a cover?
You...are what I'm looking for...
Hide me!!!!
Well, that's what you're reading into it. I find it a polished, finely wrought, carefully crafted, beautifully arranged composition, an aural portrait. Its not spontaneous and its not supposed to be, the effect generated is different but no less compelling. Like any art, its all in one's perspective.
P.S. I go for live music too.
I don't know, but I don't like this song.

At first this was my least favorite VAST song on RP. But it's grown on me very much, it's up to an 8 at this point. I think I might pick up a couple of their albums, as everything that I hear from them I eventually like a lot.
Good tune!!
