It starts in my belly
Then up to my heart
Into my mouth I can't keep it shut
Do you recognize the smell
Is that how you tell
Us apart
I fool myself
To sleep and dream
Nobody's there
No-one but me
So cool
You're hardly there
Why can't this be killing you
Frankenstein would want your mind
Your lovely head
Your lovely head

Oops!
I normally like Goldfrapp, but this sounds like a rejected candidate for the soundtrack of a 1980's James Bond film....

Wow - just noticed someone else had exactly the same notion! cool.
  just what I was thinking when I heard this song!... {#Clap}

Although they have gone a little bit too much into dance-inspired music lately...this song is plain AWESOME.

GOLDFRAPP power!

Yes, this songs sounds great after Sarah Slean and Beck.

It has the feel, but unfortunately not in a good way.

Is that a bad thing?

I can't stop laughing during the screeching parts while hearing this song, especially after reading all the dying seagle comments.

SuperChicken, Away!
Love Goldfrapp, but WTF?!!!
Screech from Saved by the Bell called. He wants his thing back.
Dig the whistling, not so much the dying gull shriek.
Marlene Dietrich on dope?

It would be fantastic to follow this song with 'Horrorhead' by Curve.

Or I Monster. I know of an Austrian engineer who can play that part.

Hang on, this sounds like the track from Monkey Dust https://www.tv.com/monkey-dust/show/20043/summary.html You hear this depressing tune when the businessman is walking home in the dark after being out late doing depraved stuff. Can anyone confirm?
I was wondering what the music in that was when it was on! Indeed it is this.

change the "f" to "c"
A very "commercial" band indeed...(click here)

I always appreciate music that is played here because exposure is a good thing, but her seagull cry is cringe-worthy.
or is it a dolphin mating call?

Love the whistling. Can a song with whistling ever not rule?
I can't think of any...
Is that Lather doing the solo?
Unusual song....and I could see where some people could hate this...but I like this kind of sound, much as a I like Hooverphonic. I would like to hear it again.

This works great with Beck's "Dark Star" played before it. Kudos to Bill!

Yep, in fact Monkey Dust is what got me into Goldfrapp.
...goldfrapp's best album, and a fantastic opening track...
Unfortunately this is not one of Goldfrapps best albums. My least favorite. But the disc Supernature is great. Check out Ooh La La. Ooh La La Allison

Gee - without the faux gull calls (or whatever) in this song it would be a solid 7 for me. As is: 4...
amen, some re-instrumentation would certainly help here. a lot.
SHe has a pleasant (kind of haunting) voice but what is that sound!!!! I guess gull call is the best description I have seen
OMG! She has something stuck in her throat .. quick, Heimlich!
This album is OK. There's a song on it called Pilots that is great. Listen with headphones and drift off somewhere nice.
Definitely. redeyespy wrote:

can't resist. Goldcrapp?
I live in New England and a "frappe" is a milkshake, a term I'd never heard before moving here. Maybe that's why this song makes me want really expensive ice cream drinks...
Neat .. bended theremin .. great character to that sound.
Sounds like a rejected theme song for a James Bond movie.

LOL Gull calls- excellent description. Talk about adding something to ruin an otherwise potentially decent song. I couldn't even give it a 4...
