I had so many problems
And then I got me a Walkman
I really liked it a lot, and
They walked right in and they solved them
They walked right in and they solved them
I heard Ramona sing
And I heard everything
The speed they're traveling
They are the only thing
Ramona
There were moments in the night
It was all right
There were moments in the night
I heard Ramona sing
And I heard everything
The speed they're traveling
They are the only thing
Ramona
I don't care if they're real or they're pseudo
I don't care if they get any higher
I hope if someone retires
They pull another Menudo
They pull another Menudo
They pull another Menudo
They pull another Menudo
There are moments in the night
It is all right
There are moments in the night
I hear Raniona sing
And I hear everything
The speed they're traveling
They are the only thing
Ramona

Weird. . .I really don't remember writing that. I've been a Pixies and Frank Black fan for a long time, so I guess I was making a bad joke. But my impulse is the same as yours: idiot younger me!

I had no idea this was about the Ramones.

Word. Don't Ya Rile 'Em is a stong cut off of this one also.
Where did all these whiny people come from? I can't believe the number of negative reactions to this song. I've always loved it. It's probably my favorite track on the album. Granted, Frank fell a bit short of Pixies-level greatness with his solo debut but it's still really good stuff.

If this wasn't so mind-numbingly boring, it would be dreadful.

you commented last year, as you can see the song has had a deservedly steady decline down to it's quite appropiate 4

I'm gonna be nice and rate it a 2. My initial thought was about half of that...

I'm obsessed with this guy; I don't know why.

Godlike!!
Long time ago I saw Frank Black and Pixies, the latest 80er...WOW!! No mainstream, but powerfull like no other

Must be a Massachusetts thing, you wouldn't understand. Oh wait a minute. . . . . . . .
Frank Black just rocks....

Because FB is only 1/4 of the Pixies, he only gets 1/4 the rating. Actually I appreciate FB but mostly he just makes me miss the Pixies.
It only averages a 7? Amazing...
i just LOVE this track!
this guy rawks! big time!
Great song and a great tribute to The Ramones.

Well put!
Improvisational rock- I like it.
There are aspects of this tune that I really like, but altogether it's kind of jumbled and confused. 6

i really like this song. bought the album when it first came out years ago and it has remained in my top 10 ever since.
Almost musical, in a semi pseudo quasi sort of way.
O.K., he heard Ramona sing. I mean it's a free world and if he wants to listen to Ramona that's fine. But even in a free world, does that entitle him to write such boring song about it? And publish it, too?
I was trying to summon up a "Ho Hum" but just couldn't redeem the listless backup and tonedeaf vocals. I realize this is Francis/Frank's schtick, but it's tired, worn, and boring. I think I hear Joey laying a beating on him instead of applause. No thanks.
Clean up the mess and you might have a good song.
I remembered how much coyotes LOVE Frank Black and the Pixies again when I saw the on Austin City Limits.
Time to upgrade my old cassettes to MP3's

I always wondered what happened to Gary Newman
I'm thinking of sending him a buck or two, so he can go out and buy a melody. Sorry to you FB fans out there, but the bucket he's trying to carry the tune in has a leak somewhere.
I always wondered what happened to Gary Numan
A very Bowie-esque Frank
A very good melodist, but so sloppy at times.

He should figure out just what the f**k his name is first, and then try to sing. Frank Black, Black Francis. P Diddy. Puff Daddy. Crap in, crap out.
Relax a bit.

In Menudo (Puerto Rican boy band) a member would be replaced when he reached his 16th birthday or his voice broke.

They pulled another Menudo?
Say, if Frank Black got together with Jack White, would they be the White Stripes, the Black Stripes -- or the Grays?

Mind-numbing? Oh, no. It cattle-prods the brain into painfully aware horror with its awfulness.
This song should be forced to listen to itself for hours on end as punishment.
(Apologies, RPers. I'm tired, it's too early to celebrate the weekend, and I'm feeling snotty).
