What is the name to call
For a different kind of girl
Who knows the feelings
But never the words
To look at you
And never speak
Is so good
For me tonite
To look at you
And never speak
Is so good
For me tonite
What is the name to call
For a different kind of girl
Who knows the feelings
But never the words
Who do you ask when there's no one
Left to turn to
You ask me and I'll always try to hear
Past money and colours and make believe
Good cheap values for a thrifty clown
To look at you
And never speak
Is so good
For me tonite
To look at you

Is so good

To look at you
And never speak

What is the name to call
For a different kind of girl
Who knows the feelings
But never the words
What do you fear in the simple
Still of a summer's nite
I understand I sympathize for a day dream
Fairytales and I love you
What is the name to call
For a different kind of girl
Who knows the feelings
But never the words

My all time favorite INXS album is Shabooh Shoobah. This is my favorite tune on it followed by Don't Change, The One Thing, Here Comes, Jan's Song, oh hell there isn't a bad song on it. Saw this tour in D.C. at a small venue under the freeway on the Potomac River, The Bayou. Standing on the floor, about 4 people from the stage. When Hutchence hit the stage he immediately had the crowd in the palm of his hand. What a front man. Freddie who? And I saw Queen just as close in a small theater in Philly a few years earlier. What a shame he left us so early. Such talent.

looking forward to seeing you again in a couple weeks, too.
Oh, man, a deep track from Shabooh Shoobah. Love this song! I saw INXS in 1985 in a smallish venue in Pittsburgh (RIP the Syria Mosque) and it was such a great show. I was the asshole who stood on a seat in order to see better and Michael Hutchence stared at me since I was basically in row 5, center. I still remember what I wore to that show. Oh, to be 15 again.

Long Time no play, great to hear them again.
Never forgotten when he met Paula Yates on the Tube and what he did for Kylie Minogue 😁

Would you consider playing another sleeper by INXS titled "Johnson's Airplane".
Always loved this track.
Excellent!
The beat is a little bit too linear for my ears.

I always appreciated INXS but was always a casual fan and never got beyond Kick and Greatest Hits. Maybe I should change that.

Nice to hear one my fave INXS songs. Brings back memories!
Michael Hutchence sang like Mick Jagger's younger brother
INXS was a great band. Even better over time

I am SO pleased to hear this played on RP, let alone any radio station. Even growing up in Southern California in the KROQ '80s, I don't recall this song getting much airplay.
Shabooh Shoobah is arguably my favorite album of all time, the point in INXS' career where they retained some of their early quirky Australian charm while writing increasingly memorable songs supported by ambitious, moody new wave rock arrangements. It's much better than the hits you already know, It's a perfect time capsule, and it just works on every level for me.

If I Looked At You I'd see.
Update: Dogs howling.
Anyway I became so cerebral, I thought I was a matter of favor. Now I encourage you.

I need to listen to more (early) INXS. Good stuff here.
They opened up for The Stray Cats in Portland, maybe 1981, they "rocked" my world! for a few years! RIP Michael
Very nice surprise… Takes me back to the 80s in the land of Oz…
Not one of their better efforts, but YOU WON'T HEAR IT ANYWHERE ELSE!
Thanks for the variety!
such a sweet hook....a tune close to the heart of any aussie high schooler during the 80s
A hint of what's to come from such a great band

I told someone the other day that the only thing holding me together through the recession is Radio Paradise.
Keep up the great work!

Nice !
I just hit the PSD button for the first time. Adios, INXS! Brilliant!
Thump-thump robo drummer is giving me a mild headache. This ain't one of RP's more esteemed offerings.
Excellent
man, i love this song.
Wow, they were magical back then ... something about the aura of their music. Very powerful. Great song.
FRICKING BRILLIANT
Oh yes! Love this one — nice to hear deeper tracks
Sure do miss Hutchence....

Ditto! I must have seen them on the same tour around that time in Charlotte, NC, USA...AWESOME SHOW! I remember the place was a big auditorium/gym with no AC! It was a sweat box! MH & INXS were cooking some magic in the heat! One of my fav shows of all time!
OMG! This was always one of my MOST favorite songs by INXS......I remember seeing Michael sing it live at their show in 83 when they were still relatively new in the States. That man had some great stage prowess.....
Thank you, whoever uploaded this one. I had always wanted to.

Best album by this band...and one of the better songs...although "Jan's Song" and "Don't Change" are my favorites...would love to hear Jan's Song some time...and throw in "Original Sin" while you're playing some old INXS
Loving this, not the hits...yeah!
To look at you

has a Silence of the Lambs kinda groove
Wow, it's so wonderful to hear this again! One of my favorite INXS tunes off of my favorite album of theirs.
Kind of forgot how good that record was.
So, do silly people rate this a "0" just to mess with the rating? Life must be slow for you.
I only have this on vinyl. Just might need to get it in some digital format.
My absolute favorite INXS song - thanks for playing this gem!
Umm....Holy Moly! Thanks for making my day! One of their best!
so happy to come by and rate this a 10 - always in heavy rotation at my house
